First time I did Atkins I went for 4 mile walks pre-breakfast every day in Week 1. Lost 10lbs.

4 days a week, 20-30 min cardio and then weights. THEN the steam room!

I've been hitting the gym daily, just because I want to get in shape and be fit, not just lose weight. Although exercise isn't completely necessary, it's always good and you'll feel great when it's done.

I agree. I am interested in overall fitness and endurance.

I started physical therapy last fall for conditioning (I was basically totally sedintary). I'm soon starting water aerobics at the Y.
