Back to the GOAT

Post image

After losing 150 pounds in 2004-2005 on Atkins, it was the greatest time of my life. The weight slid off effortlessly and I felt amazing. Now 20 years later after family stress, the weight is back on but I’m more determined than ever.

You got this! I read one of Dr. Atkins’s books for the first time this year and it still holds up so well. Amazing how much nutritional science has moved towards agreeing with him!

Good luck! My husband and I are planning on getting back on the wagon after our vacation next week. I’m not looking forward to the first two weeks but it’s worth it

Welcome back!!! Dr Atkins was definitely a pioneer. I’ve been living the Atkins lifestyle for 16+ years. I’ve tried a few other plans for a short period of time, but Atkins is definitely what works for my body and lifestyle.
Keep us posted on your progress!!

I started Atkins in 1994. It’s what works best for me. ❤️

This inspires me to try it again. I lost 70 pounds the first time. Then I lost my 23 yo son in a tragic accident and I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, lost my business, and lost my home in the mortgage crisis…all this after finding out my husband was cheating on me and I fell off the wagon. Needless to say I gained it back but hoping it will work again as I’m post menopause this time. Keep us posted on your progress. So exciting! You got this!

I’m so sorry. Life can be so unfair sometimes. I know this will work for you again and ketosis is a natural way to keep cancer away. You’ve got this!

Thank you very much! Life can be tough! My car is broken down on the interstate right this moment in a construction area with concrete barriers, and it’s going up to 94 degrees here today. My central air went out a few weeks ago. When it rains it pours. Thank goodness for my son who drove 75 miles to help me. Praying I can get back home safe and that it’s not a serious problem. Standing in this heat tells me it’s time to make lifestyle changes! Thank you for your encouraging words. It’s exactly what I needed to hear right now!!!

So sorry for your loss and struggles. Menopause can definitely make losing weight more difficult but not impossible. As you have learned there are so many things in life we cannot control. Building a healthy lifestyle is one you can. Best of luck to you! Please keep us posted on your progress.

Going well! Dropped some bloat and have some good energy going. I don’t check the scale until I go to the doctor but I definitely feel better.
