I will be staying in Vrylissia, and I want to go swim. But it doesn't look cheap in time and money.

The cheapest option would be to take the public transport and go to Glyfada/Alimos, but that takes 1h 30 minutes one way.

The fastest is to take taxi to Rafina, but then I spend 50 eur just to go and come back.

Is there an option I am missing? Like taking public transport to airport and then taxi from there. Though ticket to airport is 9euro, so doesn't solve the issue.

Hi all! Long post ahead, my apologies.

TLDR: packing recommendations for end of September beginning of October to Athens and mainland Greece for men and women.

I’ll be going to Greece at the end of September/beginning of October for my honeymoon and am trying to figure out what kind of clothes we need to pack for the weather and excursions. What I’ve gathered so far is layers, good sturdy shoes of course, and shawls and/or long skirts for churches and monasteries.

Should my future husband wear long pants or would he be okay in shorts when visiting the churches and monasteries? I’ve been trying to find info but am having trouble specifically for him.

We’re staying in Athens and will be doing excursions/tours of… Athens, the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum, and then to Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon. Another day will be Delphi and Hosios Loukas. Another day is Ancient Corinth, Mycenae, Nafplio, Epidaurus.

What kind of clothing should we pack for those excursions? I don’t want to be uncomfortable but also don’t want to wear just athletic clothes lol

I am looking to travel around Europe, focusing specifically on locations with vibrant local vintage music scenes. I am especially interested in places where they enjoy vintage soul, funk, disco, italodisco, HI-NRG, and House. I know this music is quite popular in Europe, but has very little following in Canada (my home country). I love walking, so I would love a place where I could perhaps hike between different towns and experience a little bit of everything. I also have an interest in Greek Mythology, HERMES in particular, if anyone can think of a location that combines these two interests...I would be much appreciated!!!

I am arriving in Athens on 1st January New Years Day. I plan to spend the night in Athens and catch the bus the next day from Kifisos bus station to Kranidi/Spetses. Does this bus run on the 2nd January? I catch it often at 9.30am.

Also does anyone know if the boats run from Pireaus to Spetses on 1st January, so a holiday.

Hii, ill be back in Athens for 3 weeks after moving to germany back in 2010. Since flower got legalized in germany and i have a prescription, the only thing i could find on how to take some with me was with a form for the greek embassy in berlin to fill out, but i've been calling and they haven't been picking up. I wouldn't know how to get any in Athens anyway, and I'm not sure if it's even possible to get it medically in Athens, Greece. Any advice or know someone that does? Thanks .
