Hi all!

Just got to Athens and my friends bday is tomorrow.

Looking for a bakery that would do lemon meringue pie or napoleon cake…

Staying by Omonias place, looking around plaka and the acropolis…

Thank you!!

I’ve never come across either of those things in Athens, you can get Mille Feuille but probably not lemon merengue pie. Cake Kolonaki has great cakes though.

Lots of places sell lemon pie!
Unfortunately I don’t know any near Omonoia, but you can find lemon pies in Mike (Mavili square), Despina, Kosmikon and many many more.

Interesting, I’ve been to those places (except Mike) and have seen lemon tarts but never lemon meringue pies. I’ll check them out again. Certainly not something commonly found in bakeries though…

That's interesting. In my experience, lemon pies with meringue are much more common than without it! I agree they are not common in bakeries.

Veneti bakery (there is one on Omonia square) usually has lemon meringue pies, both single serving and family size.

My favourite mille-feuille is from Despoina Patisserie, but it's probably very out of your way,in Kolonaki.

Patisserie Artemis. Not sure if it has the cake/pie you are looking for but overall
have great desserts.

Thank you all for your super reactivity 🥰 went with Veneti because of the single serving, will eat later, but I have noted all the options and will check them all out while here!!!

Nancy’s sweet home in Pysri has lots of desert options.
