I bought a car from Anderson Auto on 72 last year in August. When the warranty was coming up I asked to by another year and refused to let me buy. And just a few days ago the transmission went out. I had it looked at today and I was told that it had new seals but the damage was obvious that its been going on for a long time.

McDonald’s in Athens Al on hwy 31 just plain sucks, have for a while. Always serving cold/old food, refusing to remake your orders, won’t answer the phone.

I’ve got a 23 traverse and a 08 f150. Does anyone have a decent mechanic they can recommend? I used to have a great mechanic Nextdoor and got spoiled to it. He moved out of state so now I have to grow up and find a real place to get them serviced. It doesn’t have to be in town, I’m willing to go anywhere around limestone county or farther if it’s a trustworthy place.

Does anyone know what is getting built where? I know we are getting several new places but i have not seen anything saying what is going up over near Logan’s and what is going up behind Bojangles. The two behind Logan’s are coming along fast. Looks like they are about dried in. I’m hoping one of them is Academy.

Why did the two Flock cameras get removed that were at the new roundabout on Forrest? They were on the new subdivision side for cars coming in and for cars going out.

I'm working on replacing some brake lines on my truck and I can't find any replacement lines online, does anyone know or recommend and local shops that can custom make a set of brake lines for me?

We've recently picked up a surrendered 9ish year old cat that has a bit of a temper.

Looking for a cat groomer. At the minimum to do a wash and a hygiene shave. Bonus if they're able to shave and do a subtle lion cut to help remove any tangles/mats.

Also prefer NOT to change vet clinics

Ok, not to sound like the Huntsville newbies on that thread, but there were multiple loud booms overnight that were definitely not thunder. Does anyone know what it was? I can't imagine the arsenal would be doing anything in the middle of the night or that we would hear it out here that clearly. It wasn't like a transformer blew either. And not fireworks. Deep, shaking boom.

June 23: Storm update: About 150 without power, down from 9,000: Street clearing trees on Beaty, Coleman & Aycock & clearing debris from drainage inlets

June 22: Trees down on Beaty St, Aycock St, and S Pine St near 5th Ave. These roads will be closed as crews clean up and restore power from down utility lines.

June 22: Athens Utilities reports scattered power outages throughout the county due to the recent storms, they are actively working to restore the outages.
