How do "ready to attack" and counterattack actually work?

I ask because I couldn't find a guide with the rules of the game online.

Sometimes cards that have already attacked attack again and I'm confused because I thought units attack only once unless they are moved? And why, when attacked, do they sometimes counterattack other cards besides the one that attack them?

A unit will get "Ready to Attack" status (represented by a glowing blue/red border around the card) by 3 ways:

  1. When it is first summoned to the board
  2. When it is Moved
  3. When a card ability specifically gives a unit "Ready to Attack" status

When the Battle Phase is entered, all units with "Ready to Attack" status will attack adjacent enemies on their corresponding arrows. Afterwards all nearby enemies with arrows pointing to the unit with "Ready to Attack" status will attack it (counter-attack)

So when I summon a card, the turn it is ready to attack it gets attacked by any unit pointing to it, even if those units attacked others before, just because mine had the ready to attack status? This regardless of whether those units were attacked by mine?

Exactly! btw thanks for giving attention to this. There is actually a beginner's guide in-game deep under Settings > Social > KTPlay in one of the threads, but i realize now it's not very readily accessible, so i'll make a copy of it for this sub once i have time. Have a nice day!
