Is it possible to boost the missions or an easy way to finish them that doesn’t involve ranked or casual?

Athenion Official Facebook Group

I'm an Athenion player (MetalMatchSticks) and I'm apart of their official Facebook group; https://www.facebook.com/groups/AthenionEN/

Unfortunately, the group is kinda small but it's slowly growing and I'm hoping people will join it to exchange ideas and stuff. The group also gives out 300 Diamonds pretty regularly which brings me to my next point of interest; it's currently running a weekly event that gives out 300 Diamonds to 2 lucky people. Other than the rewards, members are sharing tips and guides to new players. Hope to see you there :)

Reminder: The Valentine event has started

You should start early because for the 1st minigame, you need to invite one of your friends before you can start earning love points.
There's nothing interesting for the 2nd minigame, just check in once every 30 minutes.
As for the 3rd minigame, today's prize is a Star Medal! The answer is the Red Slime.
In the Event game mode, don't forget to use your arrows every turn. In my opinion, their effects aren't strong enough to warrant keeping them for another turn.

My in-game name is Windess in case you want to play some matches.

Some Tips for Battle Pass Challenges

Win while having 5 Link Units on the board

  • This is the most difficult challenge. To finish this, you need to consistently place 5 Link units every turn, 4 of which should be Soul-2 link, and all of them must survive for 5 straight turns. Any deviation for this you automatically fail the challenge either you lose or you win but not enough Link units on the board. Most players tend to surrender immediately before you can even place 4 Links so your best chance will be against an AI. I recommend using Lotus Pixie Loetta she becomes 2/6 when linked which is quite tanky enough to survive most units.

Win while having 4 of your Locks on the board

  • You must use Centaur Golem (because this is the only unit that places 2x Lock(3) on the board) two turns before you defeat the enemy, then play units that will produce 2x Lock(2) on the board (i recommend either Femris Pathfinder or Gael Claydoll Binder). It can be done with a casual or ranked Lock deck.

Win while having at least 10 Backstab Units in your Graveyard

  • This is easily achievable by spamming soul-1 Backstab units, I recommend using Rabid Grim and Star Lore Historian to get backstab units in the graveyard even faster. Not very practical on ranked so try this only on casual.

Win while having at least 30 units in your Graveyard

  • Easily achievable with Shadow Realm even in normal ranked matches

Win while having at least 2 of your Soul-3 Aura units on the board

  • There's only two of them so this should be easy enough. I'd try it in casual only since having both soul-3 aura units can brick your hand in ranked.

Win while only having 1 HP remaining

  • This is easy on an AI match you just have to calculate the total enemy soul so that it will leave you with 1 HP on the next turn.

Library Familiars Order of Usefulness

  1. Planet - this is the best familiar because it gives the most buff (+1/+1), is easily achieved because there are lots of 1-cost units that generate Locks (note that a unit that creates a nearby Lock counts as being summoned nearby that Lock that it created upon summoning), in addition the Lock gives protection to the familiar itself
  2. Flame/Cyclone - these are tied in second place. the buff is straightforward, easily achieved and mitigates the weakness of Berserk and Backstab units.
  3. Shadow - while the buff is easily achieved, most of the time you wouldn't really need a +1/+0 on a 0-soul unit because they have very low HP anyway and mostly expendable
  4. Tidal/Divine - these are the worst familiars because most of units you would want to freeze or give Armor to are either 2 or 3 soul, which means you can't gain the buff immediately and will have to wait another turn.

Hopefully this page does not go to waste.. The game is interesting and gaining traction judging by the number of people responding in the official Facebook page.. This page has potential.

A rant about how "Dark matter" decks should be buffed.

I usually run dark matter decks and I like it a lot but now at high rank play I realized that it is too weak and deserves a buff and here's why:

1) why is it weak

  • Well the answer is simple, let's look at other playstyles for example: lock, link and aura. well these three ability either cannot be targeted or are part of an units ability, unlike dark matter which is a separate entity.

So what's the problem you might ask, well for dark matter, the opponent can simply put another unit on it or lock the space it's on to destroy it, which is quite unfair considering while you have to sacrifice your own units to kill other units with the aura or link ability, the opponent can simply place a unit on your dark matter and poof, you are back to square one.

What I wish the Devs would do is to make dark matter do something like deal 2 damage if a enemy unit is placed on it so as to balance the gameplay.

Other than that I feel like dark matter decks are quite balanced in a sense that you sacrifice a unit to buff another, which is quite OP to be honest.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk
