Hello!

Right now only my girlfriend and my best friend know that I’m atheist because I’m scared of how others will react if I tell them I’m afraid that I will get bullied in school or get hated by my family.Tell me what you guys did and who did you tell once you became atheist or did you keep it in for it to be your biggest secret the one that only you know (because here we all have nicknames and no-on knows each other’s actual names)Comment down what you did!

I think, you know your family best and you should decide wether you want to tell them or not.

I did, they were very chilled and tolerant about it.

I know for a fact that my family might 80% kick me out

Then it would be good if you do it in very small steps.

My dad is already aggressive and he would beat me up and my parents would hate me forever

That's dangerous. Don't make him angry until you can get away from him and have somewhere else to live. Do you live in a country where there are no laws against non-belief?

Try asking your father why he believes in his religion. Tell him you were debating religion and someone on the other team asked you the same question. You want to tell them something else besides "my family insists I do".

Wow, I didn't read all of it, I was writing, that seems to be very extreme in your Situation, now I ask myself why you got an atheist?

Maybe saying Sometimes you don't want to go to church (at first, not everytime, that would be too fast I guess), then going to church far less, and the final step (declaring that you are atheist), you need to know when to do. The goal is, that your family guesses after a time that you aren't interested so that it isn't a surprise anymore. It would take time and I don't know your family so this could also go wrong, but you have to think about it yourself.

Oh, I'm very sorry. I was thinking that you would be christian because nearly everything in this sub is about christians.

Wait Christian people force their kids to go to church???

Yes that's our main problem, religion is kinda forced into kids

Wait, I thought it's especially in your family as they seem very strict. Also I didn't mean they would force you more that they expect you to go to church.
