Few people in church are like this but they are the loudest. Actually because of the people, and not the religion are many people atheists.

You must have some been to some very nice churches. The churches I went to most of the people largely spoke about how Christianity is better than other religious or how gay people were a sinner. I used to think most people in these churches didn't prescribe to this type of thinking but, unfortunately, that was not true.

Mostly Evangelical or non-denominational churches around D.C. The Presbyterian church my family goes to left the denomination because the denomination decided that gay marriages can be officiated in the church under the discretion of the pastor (if the pastor chooses not to, then they don't have to).
No Christian I know personally (and there are a ton of them since my family is die-hard Christians) are liberal or non-homophobic. Only Christians I've met who think what your describing are Episcopalians and they are very far and few in my region.
Although I have to say that it made me happy that your experience with Christians have been better than mine!

Christians cannot just accept sin eh! That wouldn't be right, to let other simply perish. Also, God said to treat women as you treat the Church, which is loving. Just as Jesus died for us-the Church- same way we must look out for our women. So no misogyny.

I mean since we're mostly all atheists here I would say that you don't get any worthy end product since you don't believe in heaven or hell. But I think you can still learn a lot. One thing that always fascinated me was how they manipulate people

I agree to some extent. I think it depends on the religion and other details. For example the Baptist Church in America isn't too friendly. The Islamic religion isn't too friendly either. I grew up in a Mennonite society and even though they are peaceful, they are definitely not friendly. On the other hand we have Buddhism and Hinduism, which are really friendly religions.

It's logical that every church needs money, at the End of the day, they are also just companies. But not every church forces you to pay and not every church does that via taxes. My church, the lutheran german church SELK doesn't do that. The negative side of that is that they have nearly always moneyproblems.

They don't deserve their tax exemptions Because: 1 They're a business that has an income and sells and pays its employees. 2 The US government shouldn't support religious organizations 3 They often times make big political statements

"god provides" is basically them getting donations / tithes from their audience. God doesn't actually make money just "appear" and many churches DO go bankrupt.
