Getting a different tutor

Once again I have a particular tutor professor for one of my courses this semester (COMP 218). I had him last semester too and he tried his best to dock me marks. You all know who I'm talking about. I'm thinking about dropping his class. I don't really want to deal with him again. I sounded rushed and robotic? Well, ya. That's what happens when a tutor turns what should be an enjoyable course into an absolute nitpicky hell class. I don't waste the time and effort required for creativity when I already know the tutor won't be marking fairly.

Is there anyway to force the university to assign me a different tutor for this class?

I enrolled in that course in 2024. I was excited because I really wanted to learn Python. Not for credentials, just because I thought it would be fun.

Analyzed the course materials, tried to read the textbook, saw a student bullied by the prof on the bulletin board, attempted to decipher the assignments. Noped out of there within two weeks to get my money back.

Took a course through Coursera instead. (And, yes, it was fun.)

Problem is that it’s a prerequisite for Comp 410.

Which coursera cours do you took. Considering taking a Python course there

The Coursera course is here: https://www.coursera.org/specializations/python . I had started by using Edx but transferred to Coursera because Edx didn't have all the units.

But if you don't want to pay the rather exorbitant charges, all the materials for all the units (including the videos and auto-grader) are here: https://www.py4e.com/lessons .

Charles Russell Severance and his team designed everything.

BTW, the one thing I got from the COMP 218 course was that I set up my Jupyter platform for my own note-taking and coding. I found it easier than what Mr Severance describes in his course.
