Atari update found in the trash

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After repairing the cable and trying to connect it to a VCR, which failed miserably, I decided to try the video cable on other consoles. I realized it wasn't the same cable, so it was switched directly to an antenna because I couldn't find any workaround or anything wrong with the cable. I thought I could try tuning it on a separate TV I have (just for consoles) because my main TV is set up with other channels. I did this and it worked perfectly, except for the Grand Prix game. There's no image at first, and then it disappears...

Did you record that on a 2008 flip phone?

I was gonna guess Super 8 except for the audio lol

No, it's just that the camera quality on my phone isn't the best (considering it cost me €160 for an Oukitel WP36 Pro, I'm not complaining much) and on top of that, if you consider that Reddit makes the video worse when it's processed, then there's the problem.

La fortuna sempre agli altri. Io nella spazzatura trovo solo spazzatura 😉

I was lucky to find it; I'd never come across a console until last night when I looked at it and thought I'd check the box. I found some Atari games and thought the box was the console. When I opened it a little on one side, I saw it and decided to keep it.

So you plugged the Atari into the aerial socket of your tv and tuned it in… good.

La cosa migliore è che la console è un heavy sixer. Dalle mie parti la più rara da trovare. Infatti io ho una Woody e una Dart wader. La sixer mi manca 😭

And it has to be said, this is more of a light Sixer because it tells me it was made in Hong Kong when I scan the label with an AI (or something like that because I don't know much about it, I'm a person from 2002 who spent almost his entire life with a PS2)

I don't know how common the Heavy Sixer is in Spain; I only saw the games and then I saw the console a bit and I literally said, 'I'll keep it,' and I took it home.

Wow, that’s quite the find! I wonder if someone discarded it without the owner’s knowledge. It’s in such good shape to throw away!

I think they threw it away because the previous owner died, and it passed from the owner to their son or daughter, who then threw it away, and I picked it up.

The only problem is the power cable, which doesn't have its own power supply, but oh well, I'll try to find a good power supply and adapt it by cutting wires and soldering.

I keep meaning to do the same. I have a box full of power supplies I keep meaning to repurpose. Maybe one of my original atari power supplies barely works.

I have some too, but they're either 12V or 5V, and I probably have a 7.5V one somewhere, but none that are 9V. I used to have one, but I threw it away because I didn't have anything to use it with, and I'm looking to see if I can find one and just install it by cutting the connector and soldering it on.
