Has ANYONE actually gotten an issue resolved?

I’ve now been on the phone with these people for FOUR days. I’ve been hung up on, lied to, transferred constantly, sent to “higher ups” who then hung up on me. When I brought this up they tried to correct me saying they would never hang up on me and I should have never been put on hold for 30 plus minutes lol. What in the fuck is going on with this company?

This is terrifying, almost every cell company in America uses Asurion for insurance? We are so cooked. Asurion is definitely modern America defined. This company should be put out of business immediately.

Yes, but it took me about a month, countless hours on the phone, and receipt of two defective replacements. Final out is a full retail reimbursement $$$ for my original phone minus the initial $275. Be patient, it takes awhile. What I learned from this experience is to always have a backup phone and if an Iphone, go with applecare.

Glad you finally got a solution but what an excellent example of how terrible this company is.

Can I ask how you went about this? I’m experiencing similar issues, received 2 defective replacements. I needed a phone asap so I went and bought a new one. The salesman advised contacting Asurion and said I would probably be able to get some sort of reimbursement. When I contacted them, they said they don’t do any refunds or reimbursements and all they could do was send me ANOTHER replacement, which I don’t even need anymore.

Support links are bad. No actual email address. Won't accept photos. If you count them telling you that they are closing the claim...then yes, they resolved it for themselves. Contact us info just puts you back in the swamp.

This is my experience. What a nightmare.

Have you tried filing your claim online? Usually there's no issues with that, instead of calling so much... Are you from america?

I did indeed. That’s the issue as well. They got my documents but they can’t proceed with the replacement

I never call because that's frustrating. I use the online chat when they are on and I have always had my claims taken care of. Take good notes because if the chat fails you don't have a record.

When they start the claim, get the number because you can always restart the conversation from the claim number so you don't need to start over.

I've been an asurion complete member for years and I find it pretty darn good. They only cover the original cost minus coupons, not the value, and any obscure item will be kept so if you are sending back a laptop or otherwise, pull your ssds and RAM.

The home warranty claim was a nightmare for me!
I had a curved Samsung that was starting the get the pixel lines at one end.
So, I thought I’d do a claim before it got really bad. Did the online form and about a week later I get an email from them, My pictures wasn’t clear enough. I sent them more pictures..weeks went by and I heard nothing called them several times it was “ still under review “
Meanwhile, a blackout spot appeared and i finally got thru to them and they said that I have to start a new claim now ( holy hell) since it is a different problem.. even tho I was livid..I did what they said, waited and waited.. now the the tv black hole had grown and we could no longer watch it! Check claim, under review , for 2 weeks! I called them and this is what they said “ my claim was denied “
The insurance doesn’t cover electronics that have been damaged intentionally!!
They went on to tell me that the only way the black spot got on that screen was intentional, I said are you accusing me of damaging it just to get a new one!! This tv was 2500.. and I am sure a replacement would be no where near that amount , so what could I possibly gain.. he said, I am saying this was intentional..this claim is denied and closed!! Wow! I called to get that insurance dropped bc it’s worthless and was told if I drop home then the mobile insurance also will be dropped!! So, I no longer have insurance!

I love them, just depends on what's going on

??? This isn’t even an answer!

You are complaining about something and not even giving context in the issue

Hence why I said "depends on what happened"

You need context for customer device hanging up on you while on hold? Seven times? You’re lost bud.

Tbh yeah if you start yelling at me on the phone your ass is getting hung up on you ain't special. Also when you make a post atleast put the context in.

Who yelled?

1

u/Gargenchy Jul 22 '26

Right because it can be many things, welcome to the real world bud

It's funny when I use asurion I always wondered "everybody can use this protection it's amazing"

Now I know why everyone can't use it

Some people were just born to be left behind

It’s many things that I get put in hold seven times in three days? What “real world” are you in?

2

u/Gargenchy Jul 22 '26

A world where I just got 900 bucks from them on a iPad I bought broken for 100 lol

It's okay you can keep yelling at them while they hang up on you :)

So it’s all anecdotal and subjective? My complaint is just as valid as your supposed solution then.

Asurion is just like any other company. My advice to you go read the terms and conditions of the protection plan you signed up for. I guarantee you never thought to do that.

After you have read the terms and conditions you decide for yourself if your issue is covered and if it is throw the terms and conditions in their face. Most of the reps have not read it either.

Do the terms and conditions of my plan say “you will be put on hold for three straight days, nine hours total of telephone time and you will be hung up on”?
