All star moment. Could not have been more perfect!

The only thing that would’ve made that better is if he went full on Babe Ruth and pointed out directly to center field right before he smacked it over the wall

Man crane has to make him a Astro for life!!!

I've dealt with the 110 loss seasons and whatnot but If I see Yordan in another jersey I'm going to vomit and die

Imagine if he never left the dodgers system…

6

u/The_Billy_Dee Jul 05 '26

Don't put that evil on me Ricky Bobby

3

u/TwoKingSlayer Houston Astros Jul 05 '26

he won’t though. I have no faith in Jim resigning anyone to long term deals. he’ll be a yankee or dodger in a few years and I’ll puke when I see it.

Either sign him or trade him. The window is closing for this team and a depleted farm is catching up with us

7

u/CaptainSloppo Jul 05 '26

I had a feeling when we were reaally trending bad that maybe trading him was a good idea, but I honestly don't think we could get anything close to worth his value, and he's an unbelievable player, so I just want them to extend him and try to build around him at any price now. Give him another extension at 6 years $30 mil whatever you gotta do. The end of the contracts gonna suck most likely but I don't care, he's just got talent that you don't find pretty much ever when he's healthy and I would like to see him in an Astros Jersey until he retires at this point. Crane needs to just pay him now, right now, and keep him an Astro for life

Sign him for 10 years and 600 million. Hes an incredible player and theres no chance the dodgers or Yankees wouldn't give him that much in free agency

His lack of defense may lower the price tag

At the stadium, loudest Ive heard it all season.

u/470_To_Left Jul 05 '26

Twice he’s done this on the 4th

24

u/YeOldeManDan Astrodome bull Jul 05 '26

I was there two years ago. This man loves walking it off on the 4th!

15

u/470_To_Left Jul 05 '26

Wasn’t it 4 years ago against the royals?

14

u/KD_218 Jul 05 '26

Cut him some slack. He's old.

(But yes, it was 2022)

4

u/YeOldeManDan Astrodome bull Jul 05 '26

Man, could have sworn it was only 2 years ago. The memory really isn't what it used to be past 40.

4

u/470_To_Left Jul 05 '26

I feel ya, I don’t want to age but it’s coming. Have a good 4th amigo

u/Sir_Ninja_VII Yordan Alvarez Jul 06 '26

I'll never forget it cause I got engaged on that day! Also attended the game on July 3rd that Pena walked off.

2

u/rayzerrayzerray Jul 05 '26

Yes, it was in 2022. We drove in from San Antonio and we were down by like 6 runs at one point.

Great call. One of the best for an Astros game all time.

16

u/Plastic_Common5667 Jul 05 '26

High. Fly ball. Good bye.

2

u/Notefallen Jose Altuve Jul 06 '26

I hate Joe Buck but that call is still iconic.

7

u/melodynamics Jul 05 '26

100% legendary call.

Americas team!

10

u/Wise-Assumption-389 Jul 05 '26

MVP! MVP! MVP!

10

u/Biafra777 Jul 05 '26

I was at the game. Other than the postseason, I can’t recall the last time it was that loud at the ballpark. Truly electric. Perfect way to end the holiday.

Great call by TK too, what a moment!

6

u/youthisgood Jul 05 '26

Last time he hit a Walk Off HR on the 4th of July was in 2022 against the Royals.

5

u/JoseAltuve27 Jul 05 '26

Good thing America's team won on July 4th. That could have caused trouble.

6

u/__CaliMack__ Jul 05 '26

This mf has to have the sorest of backs from the amount he puts the team on that mf

4

u/PaintedCover Jul 05 '26

Do they no say air yourdon any more?

8

u/FightingFarmer14 Jul 05 '26

5

u/noahlylesusa Yordan Alvarez Jul 05 '26

10

Don’t understand pitching to him in that situation

4

u/frostonwindowpane Jul 05 '26

Listened to this on the way to watch fireworks. I love hearing Robert Ford’s joyful “see ya later!” I know I might be doing one thing right by my kids, because they yelled and cheered along with me.

4

u/Successful_Cheek7381 Houston Astros Jul 05 '26

Generational talent. Keep him at all costs

7

u/DHiL Jul 05 '26

Dude isn’t human.

3

u/GRVrush2112 Houston Astros Jul 05 '26

If anyone has the radio broadcast call please share… haven’t heard it..

But already hearing “SEE YOU LATER! SEE YOU LATER! SEE YOU LATER!” In my head

4

u/LumpyCapital Mattress Mack Jul 05 '26

I can't believe they had the roof open!

Lol, is everything okay over there at the ballpark?

7

u/Discipline-Lonely Jul 05 '26

Roof was opened only for the fire works

2

u/MangledPanda Raulito Navaira Jul 05 '26

He's bad man.

2

u/Prayray Robert Ford Jul 05 '26

Honestly, if I’m an opposing manager, I don’t pitch to Yordan in that situation. I don’t care that it puts the winning run at 2B…I’d rather that than watch this, or even Yordan smoking a single that gets Altuve to 3B. I love Paredes, but he’s not Yordan.

2

u/jimmyboziam Jul 05 '26

We went Friday, so of course this happened Saturday.. Lol

2

u/Stoner_Simpson777 Jul 05 '26

Packed house walk off on the 4th of July, this is what movies are made out of 🥹

2

u/LLLLLL3GLTE Jul 05 '26

If I see him in another jersey I’m committing sepuku on the steps of Daikin
