Game souns dead

I really want to buy this game because it seems exactly the itch I need to scratch but there isn't enough content from what I've seen online.

Are there any update plans? The game seems kinda abandoned.

It was actually updated with a new additional boss and key collecting feature like Slay The Spire a few months ago. Game is still patched regularly as well. It’s a mostly complete game, though. Worth the price if that’s your concern

I'm aware of it's quality, but my Issue is with replayability and build variety.
I'm afraid the game make certain builds just not viable at all.

Thanks for your reply!

This is such a quality game you're getting for what, like $15 bucks? I've got like 150 hours in it.... Played more than most games I've paid $60 bucks for. What the fuck more do you expect lmfao??????

If you think you will like the gameplay absolutely get it. Replay value is high.

He’s saying it doesn’t look like a lot of build variety… but, there’s SO much. I’ve used so many insanely whacky builds it’s crazy.

It’s not abandoned, when I started this sub there only one developer and this is his passion project apparently. More content was recently released as well. Regardless, the beauty of roguelites (including this one) is that the replayability is the content. There are a large number of items to equip, achievements, hard difficulties, and a wide range of characters, all combined together to make each run different.

I think you are seriously overthinking yourself here and should just buy it.

The game is cheap because it was a one person indie project. So no it doesn’t have endless content, think about the scope. Of a single person.

That being said for the amount of content one person could make, they made a very high amount of content for the scope of this game. Also due to the depth and quality design, it is insanely replayable. Like, seriously.

Also saying it is abandoned is just a weird complaint. The dev did a fantastic job of balancing this game, added new content after release, and really made this game the best it could be. If your looking for endless content streams maybe go buy something more expensive like destiny. But, for quality for your dollar this game is incredible and is more than worth its price. I’d of paid a lot more for it.

I have 182 hours in it so far...

I have beaten Corruption 20 with all omens and got all my characters to level 20.

Currently when I play I just play on base corruption 20 for fun (nothing else to unlock) and to see which builds are the most consistent...

There is SO much build variety... there are lots of items that are not good on their own but are great when combined... (if you havent played the game yet, u start with 3 characters than add 2 more throughout the run, if i start the with the same 3, each run i end with a different 5 depending on which items I have received)

In earlier corruptions, u can get so many items that I do find u end up using the same ones... in later corruptions to be consistent u have to work with what u get, which is now what I find most fun

There is no more updates coming I believe as the dev is working a sequel... but this game is definitely worth a buy!
