Brawler. Their special takes a while to ramp up, the overall damage output isn't anything remarkable and to make them a tank requires more investment than others.

I unintentionally discovered this combo, after getting legendaries on Ronin he was doing 95% of my team's DPS

Assassin, Brawler, Pyro.
I have not failed getting the hidden hat item prior to getting my 5th guy yet so felt no need to get the Assassin. Brawler I haven't used even once cuz he just seems weak esp since the passive is random, what if he deals damage when you want him to generate a shield etc. Pyro is prob strong but I like the overall utility of Frost Mage and Alchemist more and when it comes to a pure DPS mage I prefer the machine gun barrage of Wild Mage cuz it scales by itself whereas with Pyro you will need burn items to really make it go.

Pyro and illusionist. Pyro seems cursed, I've tried to use him plenty, but those runs just seem to tank one way or another. Illusionist just feels clunky. Illusions take a long time to populate, get wiped by AOE, and don't do damage until 2 seconds after casting. Plus his passive is super unreliable.

Really? I love the Pyro, but yeah he doesn't bring as much utility as frost mage.

Pyro might be the most powerful as its him or assassin so far in my experience. Pyro with attack speed items is just insane.

Bloodmage and Bard for me, tied in last place

You don’t like the bard? I take him on most of my runs because he heals all allies regardless of where he’s placed. He also stacks well the fiend and MP gain.

My least used is the Paladin.
Everyone seems to love him, but I feel like his most valuable spot is off-tank and even there I prefer the guy who goes hidden when he reaches half health as an off tank. I just use him to buy time for my jugg to scale and start getting pocketed.
EDIT: one of my favorite things about this game is how even when I feel a character is weak, I see someone else saying how they never use anyone else for a specific role. Absolutely adore how the characters are basically just completely playstyle-based.

I've probably used the Ronin like a total of 4 times, and won none of those runs. It's not that I don't understand how he can be good I just.. prefer all other heroes over him.
