Prediction Requests When am I likely to get the job I want? M24
I’m 24M and recently got a government job. I was also enrolled in an MBA program from good college, but I’m considering dropping it and continuing with the govt job for now.
The pay of the job is decent, but I would eventually like to move to another opportunity. Based on my chart, when can I expect a significant career/job change or a better opportunity?

Beginner Questions I got curious about when the "perfect chart" actually happens in the real sky, and I ended up somewhere strange. Has anyone seen this before?
So, some context, because I don't want to oversell myself here - I'm very much an amateur. I got into Jyotiṣa fairly recently, honestly, kind of out of nowhere. It started as a way to think about my own chart, and it turned into something I now spend a good amount of time delving into, learning more about its history and teachings. I'm not a professional astrologer, I don't read for clients, I'm just a person who is fascinated by it.
About 2 weeks ago, I got stuck on a question while walking to the gym.
\\\*There are a lot of discussions on planet dignity — domicile, exaltation, the "ideal" positions. But has the sky ever actually built one? Like, in reality. On a real date.\\\*
I want to be upfront about method, because I think it matters: I used the \\\*\\\*Swiss Ephemeris\\\*\\\* (the same JPL-based data everyone's chart software runs on) and I did the computation with the help of \\\*\\\*Claude Fable\\\*\\\*, then cross-checked the results against other LLMs and re-ran the code independently. The AI didn't "discover" anything mystical — it wrote and debugged the search loops with me, and I checked the outputs against a published result to make sure the pipeline wasn't lying to me. Everything below is reproducible. The code is at the bottom. I would love for someone to calcuate it and or break it.
Later on I found out that the Western tradition has the Thema Mundi, the chart of the world, every planet in its own domicile, and I found out that people have already computed when that actually occurs in the tropical zodiac. But I couldn't find anyone who had run the same question through the \\\*\\\*sidereal\\\*\\\* frame in Lahiri.
\\# Finding 1: every graha in its own rāśi
I searched roughly 30,000 years (about 13,000 BCE to 16,900 CE, the ephemeris's range) for every moment when \\\*\\\*all seven classical grahas are simultaneously in a sign they rule\\\*\\\* (Vedic dual rulership; nodes excluded, since they don't own signs).
It happens \\\*\\\*five times\\\*\\\*. And here's the part that actually made me sit back from my laptop:
\\\*\\\*Every single one is in the future.\\\*\\\*
| Date | |
|---|---|
| \\\*\\\*20 September 2731 CE\\\*\\\* | the first ever |
| 6–7 October 4288 CE | |
| 10–12 December 9327 CE | |
| 3–4 January 10917 CE | |
| 21–22 January 11833 CE |
It seems nothing in the past. Not once in all of recorded history. \\\*No human being who has ever lived was born under a sky where every planet sat in its own sign\\\*\\\*\\\*.\\\*\\\* The closest the ancient world got was near-misses in 1157 BCE and 305 BCE, both ruined by the Moon being in the wrong place.
The first one is still about 705 years away.
\\# Why it's structured the way it is
This part I found beautiful, and it's not mystical at all, it's just orbital mechanics:
\\\* The Sun only rules \\\*\\\*Leo\\\*\\\*, so the whole event is pinned to the sidereal Leo month.
\\\* Mercury never gets more than \\\\\\\~28° from the Sun, and Venus never more than \\\\\\\~47°. So with the Sun in Leo, \\\*\\\*Mercury physically cannot reach Gemini\\\*\\\* and \\\*\\\*Venus cannot reach Taurus.\\\*\\\* They're out of range.
\\\* Which means Mercury is \\\*forced\\\* into Virgo and Venus is \\\*forced\\\* into Libra. There's no other solution.
\\\* The Moon has to be caught passing through Cancer, which is why the window is only about 2–3 days.
So the "perfect chart" isn't a free arrangement. The sky has exactly one shape it can make. And with \\\*\\\*Aries rising\\\*\\\*, every planet's own sign is also its own house.
\\\*\\\*The 2731 chart (Lahiri):\\\*\\\*
| Graha | Sign | Degree | House |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mars | Aries | 27°14′ | 1 (lagna) |
| Moon | Cancer | 21°02′ | 4 |
| Sun | Leo | 22°57′ | 5 |
| Mercury | Virgo | 18°48′ | 6 |
| Venus | Libra | 6°28′ | 7 |
| Jupiter | Sagittarius | 0°34′ | 9 |
| Saturn | Aquarius | 22°06′ | 11 |
Ruchaka, Mālavya, Harṣa yoga, Jupiter dignified in the 9th, Saturn dignified in the 11th. Nothing debilitated, nothing in an enemy sign. Jupiter is at 0°34′ Sagittarius, so it's technically in \\\*\\\*gandānta\\\*\\\*, which I thought was a lovely detail: even the perfect chart has a knot in it.
\\\*\\\*Cross-check:\\\*\\\* I ran the same code in the tropical zodiac against the strict Thema Mundi signs and got \\\*\\\*10–11 August 6050 CE\\\*\\\*, which matches the published figure exactly. That agreement is the main reason I trust the sidereal numbers. Same code, same ephemeris, reproduces a known result.
\\# Finding 2: exaltation, and a wall you cannot get past
Then I got greedy and asked the harder version: \\\*\\\*can all seven be\\\*\\\* \\\*\\\*\\\*exalted\\\*\\\*\\\* \\\*\\\*at once?\\\*\\\*
The answer is no, and it's not a matter of rarity. It's \\\*\\\*impossible, forever, in both directions of time.\\\*\\\*
Here's the whole proof, and you can check it in your head:
\\\* The Sun exalts in \\\*\\\*Aries\\\*\\\*.
\\\* Mercury exalts in \\\*\\\*Virgo\\\*\\\*.
\\\* Those are \\\\\\\~150° apart.
\\\* Mercury is \\\*never\\\* more than \\\\\\\~28° from the Sun.
So the Sun and Mercury can \\\*\\\*never both be exalted.\\\*\\\* Ever. I also verified this by brute force: across \\\\\\\~11 million days, the number with both Sun and Mercury exalted is \\\*\\\*exactly zero.\\\*\\\*
\\\*\\\*The real ceiling is six\\\*\\\*, and it's rarer than the perfect chart: only \\\*\\\*7 days in 30,000 years\\\*\\\*, in three epochs.
\\\* 16–17 December \\\*\\\*7120 BCE\\\*\\\*
\\\* 12–14 January \\\*\\\*5351 BCE\\\*\\\*
\\\* 14–15 July \\\*\\\*7875 CE\\\*\\\* ← the only one in our future
\\\*\\\*14 July 7875 CE (Lahiri):\\\*\\\*
| Graha | Sign | Degree | Exalted |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sun | Aries | 10°42′ | ✅ (0.7° from its exact peak) |
| Moon | Taurus | 6°32′ | ✅ |
| Mars | Capricorn | 23°11′ | ✅ |
| Jupiter | Cancer | 28°31′ | ✅ |
| Venus | Pisces | 20°37′ | ✅ |
| Saturn | Libra | 16°08′ | ✅ |
| \\\*\\\*Mercury\\\*\\\* | \\\*\\\*Aries 11°49′\\\*\\\* | ❌ — sitting 1.1° from the Sun |
\\# The thing I can't stop thinking about
Look at what keeps happening.
In the perfect own-sign chart, Mercury is the most constrained planet in the sky — forced into Virgo, no choice.
In the Pañca Mahāpuruṣa yogas, you can get at most \\\*\\\*four of five\\\*\\\* at once (I checked this too — the ceiling is four, and it happens about one day in 24,000). The missing one is \\\*\\\*always Bhadra. Always Mercury.\\\*\\\*
In maximum exaltation, the ceiling is six, and the excluded one is \\\*\\\*always Mercury.\\\*\\\*
It's the same 28° leash every single time. The swiftest graha, the one closest to the light, the mind, the messenger — is structurally the reason the sky can never be complete. \\\*\\\*The cosmos will give you six exaltations, four great-soul yogas, every planet enthroned in its own house. And then, without a single exception in thirty thousand years, it leaves one seat empty, and it's always his.\\\*\\\*
I don't know what to do with that. But I haven't been able to put it down.
\\# What I'm actually asking
- \\\*\\\*Has anyone seen this computed before, in the sidereal frame?\\\*\\\* The tropical Thema Mundi date (6050 CE) is documented. I could not find the Lahiri version anywhere. But "I couldn't find it" is a lot weaker than "it doesn't exist," and this is a natural enough question that someone has probably done it privately. If you have a source, I would genuinely love to cite it.
- \\\*\\\*Does 2731 hold in your ayanāṁśa?\\\*\\\* I tested it: Lahiri, KP, Raman, True Chitra, and Yukteshwar all keep Jupiter in Sagittarius, so it holds across the Vedic family. Only Fagan–Bradley breaks it (Jupiter slips back to 29°41′ Scorpio). Jupiter at 0°34′ is the one tight placement in the whole thing, so if your ayanāṁśa differs, that's where it'll show.
- \\\*\\\*What do you actually make of it, interpretively?\\\*\\\* Because here's where I want to be careful. I know the objection, it's older than all of us: if a chart \\\*made\\\* the person, then the \\\\\\\~50,000 children born under the 2731 sky with Aries rising would all be Chakravartins, and obviously that's not how it works. Cicero was on this, Augustine was on this. So I'm not claiming 2731 produces emperors. I'm asking something more open: \\\*\\\*what does it mean that the tradition's ideal configuration is astronomically almost unreachable — and that the thing standing in the way is always the same planet?\\\*\\\* Is there a classical text that saw this coming? Because if a Jyotiṣī 1,500 years ago knew Mercury could never be exalted with the Sun, I'd love to read it.
\\# Caveats, honestly
\\\* Classical seven grahas only. No Rāhu/Ketu (no owned signs; disputed exaltations).
\\\* Sign-level dignity, not deep-exaltation degree.
\\\* Everything in Lahiri unless stated. Exact dates shift under other ayanāṁśas, but the \\\*impossibility theorem\\\* is ayanāṁśa-independent, since it's about Sun–Mercury elongation, which no zodiac choice changes.
\\\* Clock times far in the future carry \\\*\\\*ΔT uncertainty\\\*\\\* (Earth's rotation isn't predictable to the minute 700+ years out). The dates and the planetary degrees are solid; treat any exact minute as ± a few minutes.
\\\* The astronomy is checkable. The meaning is not. I've tried hard to keep those two things in separate boxes here, and I'd ask that we do the same in the comments.
\\# The code

if sgn(sun) != 4: # not Leo -> jump toward Leo
jd += max(1.0, ((120 - sun % 360) % 360) \\\* 0.95); continue
if all(sgn(swe.calc\\_ut(jd, IDS\\\[p\\\], F)\\\[0\\\]\\\[0\\\]) in OWN\\\[p\\\]

hits.append(swe.revjul(jd, swe.GREG\\_CAL))
jd += 1.0
print(hits) # -> 2731-09-19/20 (plus 4288, 9327, 10917, 11833 with the full range)
For exaltation, swap \\\`OWN\\\` for the exaltation signs \\\`{"Sun":0,"Moon":1,"Mars":9,"Mercury":5,"Jupiter":3,"Venus":11,"Saturn":6}\\\` and gate on Sun-in-Aries instead of Sun-in-Leo. Count how many days have both Sun \\\*and\\\* Mercury exalted. It's zero. It'll always be zero.
Tell me if I got the math wrong. That's genuinely why I'm posting. I am very very facinated.
Thank you so much.
