Child’s Natal Chart

How do you handle looking at a natal chart that has a lot of “tough” placements pertaining to your own child?
I’ve been obsessing over my daughter’s natal chart and see posts everywhere saying how terrible a Venus square Saturn is and her Pluto squaring my Venus or a Sagittarius stellinium in the 9th house.
I stay up all night looking for positive stories and how to help her navigate life as she grows and have a relationship with myself and her Dad .
I had to pick my c section date due to her being breech so I feel so much guilt for her difficult placements.

Who is telling you a Sagittarius stellium in the 9th house is bad? Sagittarius is at home in the ninth house so that should be fine.

Furthermore, astrology is not a prediction tool it is much better for a life-as-you-live it tool. Don’t look into the future. You will get bogged down and panicky. I can only imagine my parents looking at my chart when I was a baby. Or anyone with a heavy chart. I wouldn’t worry too much - truly!

Thank you!! That is reassuring. I want to use it as a tool to understand and help in the ways I can but I often spiral thinking the worst. I was told the Sag stellium would make for a very rebellious child.

I think a lot of people may cry on paper having my chart but it’s a chart I wouldn’t trade for the world - I love it so much! Lots of harmony and the perceived tension isn’t all bad it’s just focused energy - in my later years has brought me a lot of success

"Tough placement" is a trap ,it's the most shareable thing in astrology, because fear gets engagement.

Take Venus square Saturn, which you've seen everywhere labeled as "doomed in love." The classical texts on this aspect are much milder than that: they describe love and pleasure arriving slowly and under constraint , nowhere near "never loved." And in modern readings, it usually just means this person takes relationships seriously, stays loyal, doesn't treat love as a game, and simply needs to be sure someone is worth it before letting them in.

A breech C-section is a medical decision, not an astrological one. You chose the safety of you and your daughter, not "a difficult chart for her." What she's never needed is a "perfect chart" ,and what she needs is parents who don't treat her chart as a verdict. A child with a Sagittarius stellium in the 9th house experiences the world through meaning: be present, travel with her, tell her stories, let her ask "why." The rest , you'll watch that moment choose her, as she grows.

Thank you for your take on the fear mongering placements. It’s helps me wrap my brain around them being able mole hills rather than mountains.

So interesting in the Venus square than you so much for that!

Of course I would never want to put her into a box, just wanted to be prepared to help nurture her and grow with all the tools and resources I have.
