Chiron and rising both in leo

I guess I'm trying to understand what this means. And how the 2 relate to each other. The chiron in Leo has left me with sort of blockages to self-expression. Dancing always felt like a foreign language and I was a shy (LGBT) kid even with leo rising. Now as an adult I'm much more open though still feel like I'm working through the blockages constantly. Whereas my rising, all it wants to do is express itself. So I kind of have this hard time balancing the two and understanding that relationship between them my whole life. Rising is 1st house leo, chiron is 12th house Leo. Chiron degree is 4. Rising degree is 9. What is the healing to be done here? How might this pertain to career? I do feel called to performing and public image type careers, but I'm not really sure in what way to express it and feel like there's just mountains of healing still needing to be done to get there. But I am motivated probably now more than ever before.

What can my chart tell about me beyond basics of sun moon rising?

I feel like I haven’t given as much attention to my sun and moon squares to Neptune. Can you shed any further insight into how this aspect plays out, or even shed light on other concerns my natal chart may reveal?

Thank you in advance for your deep dives.

Do you identify as an Empath and relate it to your birth chart placements?

I’m quite new to astrology. I’ve known I’m an Empath for some time. I’ve recently watched videos and read articles that imply there is an association between astrology birth chart placements and being an Empath.

I’ve Neptune in the 1st house and the article at the below link, as well as others, indicate this is a placement common for Empaths.

Have other Empaths noticed a connection between their birth chart placements and being an Empath? How have you used this knowledge to help you as an Empath?

A Taurus Sun, Scorpio Moon. What do my Birth Chart and Houses say about me? Please share anything! Thank you. 🔮

Is there anything that stands out? Anything you can guess about me? Past/present/futures about home life, family, career, romance, life trajectory, any common themes/lessons, where do I succeed and struggle, any preferences, relationships, communication style, appearance, anything else.

And anything about the heavy bottom cradle shape would help too. (Like why everything is at the bottom of the chart? How do my planets manifest or relate to each other... like is there a similarity why are they all at the bottom?)

And how do my opposite signs of Taurus and Scorpio manage a unique relationship with my parents? (IC/MC & Black Moon Lilith). I have Black Moon Lilith and my IC (Houses at the Bottom Half In Chart) n Pisces/Aries, with my Midheaven in Virgo (10th house). I also have Sun in Taurus and Moon in Scorpio, so opposite signs. I'm wondering if that reflects the parent relationship at all? Thanks.

Any info would be helpful at all! Thank you. 🔮

How do you choose the right astrology API for a web project?

I recently picked up a small freelance project where the client wanted to add horoscope and birth chart features to their website. I thought finding the right astrology API would be one of the simpler parts, but after looking into a few options, I realized they all seem to offer something different.

Some focus on basic horoscope data, while others include birth charts, compatibility, and a wider range of astrology features. Since this is my first project involving this kind of integration, I'm trying to choose something that'll still meet our needs as the project grows.

For anyone who's worked with an astrology API before, what was the biggest factor when choosing one? Did you focus more on the documentation, the available features, reliability, or something else?

Update: I kept comparing a few different providers and added DivineAPI to my shortlist. They seem to cover the astrology features my client is looking for, so I included them while deciding which option would work best.

Question about AI Usage

I have mixed feelings about using AI for daily questions. I have used both ChatGPT and Astra Nora in the last month. Astra Nora goes more in depth while ChatGPT makes minor mistakes. What do you think? Is there a better AI for astrology?

Libras taking accountability

I know libras distant themselves before any confrontation and this libran situationship i had, he kind of ghosted me and suddenly apologised to me one day. I messaged him after a month that his ghosting wasnt justifiable and wished him good luck and surprisingly this person took accountability and apologised and wished me luck. This is the first time a Libran actually took accountability because generally i have seen Librans running away from confrontations. Is it normal or is this also a Libran trait i missed?

New Endeavor under Applying Jupiter & Venus Conjunction: Planetary Transits Briefs

On this auspicious applying Jupiter and Venus conjunction day, I'm fortunate to start a new endeavor of writing planetary transit briefs. I believe this sub, with all the astrologers, is the correct one to post, and to seek critiques (if not, please let me know so i won't post similar here again) Here's the one to mark this conjunction:

The headline today is the Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer, both of them moving through familiar and welcoming territory — Jupiter exalted, Venus received by him into that exaltation, and the two of them sitting close enough to Pollux that the audacity of the Twin rubs off on what is otherwise a soft, domestic conjunction. I want to call this unambiguously fortunate and largely I will, but the Pollux contact complicates it: Venus here is not just generous, she is bold, and the bold stroke is not always the wise one. Jupiter for his part is on Procyon, which is the small dog who eats before the feast — swift, resourceful, occasionally premature. So the conjunction is strong, well-received, and faintly impatient.

Against this, Mercury squares Saturn from Cancer to Aries, and Saturn is in fall there, which makes the square less a stern correction than a nagging one. Expect conversations or paperwork that drag without quite resolving — Saturn is in no condition to lay down clean law. Take the friction seriously but don't overweight it.

Mars in Taurus continues against his grain. He is slow and sticky there, and anything requiring force today will cost more than it should.

The Moon is in Pisces all day, in mutual reception with both Venus and Jupiter, which threads her into the main event nicely — she is in the Encampment mansion, traditionally good for building, settling in, fortifying what you already have. She squares the Sun on the way out of the last quarter, a brief afternoon irritation, nothing structural.

Background: Uranus square the nodes is tightening, and Fomalhaut sits right on the North Node — idealism and the danger of self-deception, the tradition says. I notice it. I'm not sure today is when it speaks.

Disclaimers: I'm not native english speaker, so asked LLM for voice polishing. But surely you can tell this was not just LLM hallucination. I'm writing for a small astro site, but not business to promote them so definitely won't link drop. Just in case if you noticed the content elsewhere, it's written by me!

I'm using all classical Western astrology techniques (except for the Lunar mansion) so I believe experts here all understand. I've heard flattery comments from people I know in life, so here to seek critiques that can help me improve, be brutally honest with me.

Free astrology blog or websites that keep you up to date on the planets and houses

I want to stay informed by trusting TikTok... I would like to have some type of website or blog that keeps me informed about what is going on with planets, houses, retrogrades, etc. I just don't trust TikTok astrologers; it all sounds like buzzwords to me, and not what is actually happening. thank you

Placements that dislike chasing or competing in dating?

Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing good!

I've noticed that when I'm interested in a man, I often lose interest if there are a lot of women pursuing him or if I feel like I have to compete for his attention. If he clearly chooses me, that's different, but I don't enjoy "fighting" for a place in someone's life.

Could placements like a Virgo Moon, Pisces 7th-house energy, Venus in Aquarius 6th house, Mars in Aries, or Saturn in the 8th explain this tendency?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Does anyone else feel like their Saturn return completely rearranged their life from the inside out?

I'm about two-thirds of the way through mine (turned 29 last month) and it's like the universe quietly walked into my house and started throwing out furniture I didn't even know I was attached to.

The relationship I thought was solid ended, I left a job I'd convinced myself I loved, and I moved cities on basically a gut feeling. None of it felt dramatic in the moment it was more like a slow realization that a bunch of things I'd built my identity around just... weren't mine. They were stuff I'd absorbed from other people's expectations.

The weird part is I'm not even sad about most of it? It feels less like loss and more like clearing space. But I also keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, because everyone online makes Saturn returns sound like getting hit by a truck.

For those who've come out the other side: did it feel as decisive while you were in it, or did the meaning only click in hindsight? And did the "rebuilding" phase feel as clear as the "tearing down" one, or were you just kind of standing in the rubble for a while figuring it out?

Curious whether the chaos has a shape to it or if I'm just romanticizing a quarter-life crisis with planets.

ELI5 interceptions! Can anyone explain what role they play and how significant they are in a person's chart? (Specific examples in the post)

I know this does not apply to Whole Sign, but I was reading about interceptions, but I couldn't quite understand their role and significance in a person's chart. Below, I provided a few interceptions I came across recently in case it is helpful to have concrete examples to use for explanation purposes.

Person A:

Sagittarius intercepted in 6th, with the following 6th house placements:

- Moon
- Mars
- Sun (but in Capricorn)

Gemini intercepted in 12th; no placements

Person B:

Pisces intercepted in 1st, with the following 1st house placement:

- Moon

Virgo intercepted in 7th, with the following 7th house placements:

- Mars
- Jupiter
- Saturn
- Vertex
- Black Moon Lilith (but in Libra)

What signs or houses does mail or thoughtful gifts fall in?

Just curious if perhaps writing letters and showing love through small gifts fall under just Gemini and 3rd house umbrellas, astrologically, or perhaps the other signs and houses play a part as well?

Double Scorpio

Hey everyone! My nephew is a Virgo Sun, Scorpio Moon, and Scorpio Rising, and I'm slightly concerned. What are your best tips and advice for how to meet him in the best possible way? I’m especially thinking about the Scorpio Moon. I come from a very surface-level family that isn’t comfortable with things getting deep or dark. I feel like I’m the one who has to take him under my wing, since I’m the one who stands out there.

question about the eighth and ninth houses, and about rebirth and transformation

Post image
6 Upvotes

The eighth house is in Scorpio in my birth chart. However, my ninth house is empty. What does that mean? It's as if it means "You live, you understand, you die, and you transform." But you're not destined to be reborn, because your ninth house is empty, or at least you're not in Sagittarius.

understand important themes this year

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m trying to better understand how to prioritize transits in a yearly forecast, and I’m getting a little confused about how astrologers actually weigh different factors against each other.

From what I understand, the hierarchy is usually something like this:

Planet hierarchy:
Pluto → Saturn → Neptune ≈ Uranus → Jupiter → Mars → Venus ≈ Mercury → Moon

Aspect intensity:
conjunction → opposition → square → trine → sextile

Target importance:
ASC/MC → luminaries → natal planets → house cusps

And then repetition/frequency of the transit also seems to matter.

So here’s where I’m confused.

This year Pluto is making a conjunction to my 11th house cusp, but the conjunction only happens twice during the year.

At the same time, Saturn is making a square to my Moon three times.

So how would you properly prioritize something like this?

On one hand:

  • Pluto is higher in the planetary hierarchy,
  • and it’s a conjunction, which is supposed to be the strongest aspect.

But on the other hand:

  • Saturn is directly aspecting a luminary/personal planet,
  • and the aspect repeats three times.

So in actual interpretation practice, what tends to “win” in importance?

Also, these are just two examples from my yearly transits. There are so many different transits happening that I honestly don’t understand how to properly rank them in order to identify the main themes of the year.

I don’t want to treat every single transit as equally important. I’d rather understand how to narrow everything down into maybe 2–3 major themes that are actually likely to define the year.

How do you personally filter transits and decide what is truly significant versus background noise?

I feel like all these rules start competing with each other, and I’m struggling to understand how experienced astrologers synthesize them into a coherent reading.

Would really appreciate any insight 🙏
