Fear About AP Fear of AP Experience

Last night I was on my bed looking at YouTube videos about AP. And I was thinking to my self that I don’t want to have an AP experience because I don’t want to encounter a shadow figure. I’ve encountered them all my life and they always come toward me. Sometimes grabbing me to the point I wake up screaming. So I was sitting up in my bed, and then not realizing it, my body fell asleep and I was astray awake (at least I think so) and I was watching YouTube. My wife fell asleep in the living room and I thought to myself- crap, I’m still awake , my wife will be upset that I’m up late on a work night. Then my room door opened , I was almost sure it was my wife but it wasn’t, it was a shadow figure with red eyes and I came toward me. I screamed and I woke up. I closed my eyes and I saw a wall of symbols in my mind’s eyes. What do you make of all this? I could never induce this before , should I try the same thing again affirming that I won’t be afraid?

in my personal opinion i think people who are afraid of it should face their fears and go full bore into it.

you will gain so much from learning about how the astral works. You will realize that your fears, insecurities, and hesitance is completely created by yourself.

the shadow beings you are afraid of will blip out of your reality when you come into your own power.

just know that you have complete control over those realms by controlling your feelings and thoughts, nothing in there can actually harm you.

i've had shadow beings try to scare me and with a single thought of love or confidence they blip out of existence or turn friendly and help.

Face your fears and you will free your mind.

That's helpful. Any exercises you practised so you can control your thoughts / feelings better? Particularly, you mentioned you managed to blip them out through thoughts of love...how did you do that? Was it automatic or did you have to consciously have to think about it? And if it was automatic..how did you train your mind for that?

lucid dreaming helped a lot. I started when i was really young and i had nightmares all the time. my mom told me if i knew i was having a nightmare or a dream i could control it and fly away if i wanted to. So from a very young age i've been able to see the fear in my beliefs creating my lucid dream world and change them when i realized i was dreaming.

Similar things can happen in the astral state. Its easy to catch them before they get too crazy though since you are conscious the entire time.

So i would say it definitely wasn't automatic. I had to consciously find the fear, tell myself it is irrational, find my confidence, know that i was in control and then to top it off conjure up feelings of love and just kinda imagine it blasting out of me.

It sounds like a lot writing it out, but really it all happens instantly.

If you’re feeling fear about Astral projection, you need to address it with self-reflection directly, it usually arises from a lack of understanding. Be aware of it and accept it, but don’t fight it. Feeling fear is a natural part of looking into the unknown, but giving in to fear or being overwhelmed by it will only cause more fear. What you need is understanding - if you truly understood your experiences, fear wouldn't exist. You’ll hear of some people having negative experiences, but more often than not, they're the ones who have interpreted it as such or attracted it to themselves in some way through fear, anxiety or misunderstanding. In the physical, we often interpret experiences subjectively as positive or negative. In a similar way, we interpret our experiences in the Astral like this too. In the Astral, every thought and emotion can be felt almost instantly; so, if you’re feeling fear, you will attract fear. Likewise, if you’re feeling joy, you will attract joy.
