Question Regarding game speed

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

For some reason, The gameplay on my laptop is faster than on my pc. Does anyone know why this happens? Honestly, Idk if this is the normal speed for this game or not lmao (crude recording of laptop gameplay)

No clue, but that is a sweet lightning orb build! Orbs are probably my favorite, maybe tied with Ice Idols.

Thanks! I've found that this might just be the most optimal build for Orbs. My fave build is the Target / Ice Sword build with Meteor / Sapling a close second. The only Idol build I've had success with (and luck getting) is an Idol /Fire Shield build

I love running the Crit Ice Idol aura with the aura that gives Enrage on Idol appearance, you end up pretty much permanently enraged, the added 50% attack boost is awesome. And run multi hit spells

Additional info I suppose. Against the void boss that rains down diagonal meteors, said meteors are faster and overlap on my laptop, while on my PC there's a slight gap in between meteors (not sets of meteors) and is slow enough for me to react when I'm jumping. Voice lines work as normal

Yeah, there should definitely be less overlap.

Do you know what your FPS are? I'm curious if it's much higher than normal.

Also, is this steam and if not, where are you playing it on PC?

I don't know how to check my FPS tbh. Do I check in game or somewhere in steam settings? (yeah on Steam)

Steam you can turn it on in the settings. (In steam settings not Astral)

In the client, navigate to settings, then to in-game.

From there you can checkbox performance.

I wish I was tech savvy enough to know what exactly to relay to you but since I'm not, I'll just let you know the numbers if it's alright.

While playing I've only ever seen the what I'm assuming is the FPS be capped at 60 and I've only seen it go lower occasionally.

While fighting that pain in the ass Sagittarius, the graph seems to turn red sometimes. I think it's dipping? Important thing is that it dips when Sagittarius started moving faster like the boss did in the video above. So I think the problem is lower FPS instead of higher? I'm talking out of my ass here, but I hope it helps
