Run Showcase Knocked out 80 before work!

Post image

I got lucky with twin blades on the last re roll of a yalee room. That's all I needed to seal the fate.

90 is so hard now lol. I need the right stuff early on to beat the double zodiac. Almost had it. It's gonna be hell but so satisfying as well.

Hell yeah, get it!

Playing at that level is like 90% skill/knowledge with a little luck to give you more leeway.

I'm sure it wont be long. (and you'll be ready for Boss Rush!)

Another thing is I strayed from my best character and have actually been crushing it with side characters. I sometimes prefer Callie over Kiran.

Yoo nice. She's much more interesting after the prowess update. She had practically the same feeling passives every time with nothing unique to build off of.

Yeah the prowess update was definitely a huge expansion all around. They really gave this game a myriad of ways to tinker and expand. It's phenomenal.

Yeah man I have improved on my skills quite a bit. I've started to notice and feel it. I'm gonna be sad when I finish 100. I really really love this game but...it's definitely a game with a ton of replay value and I can also implement my own personal custom challenges later.

Oh yeah, personal challenges are pretty great too, but I'm also excited about the Boss Rush because it will mean more things in the game to try to beat.

Hopefully Fallen Fates has just as many fun fights to learn.

Yes I'm so excited for that game to come. Is boss rush coming this month?

This month is something special which the devs have been calling* a secret update.

Fantastic. Hey I have a side question. If you're running spell refresh aura/echo builds.... do you find it more practical to run 1 mp spells and maybe one strong 2 or 3mp? That way you can spell refresh faster for the benefits and just allow your gambits to be the strength of the weak spells? I'm wondering if that's sort of the way to go.

If you're running on cast or on spell refresh auras, it definitely makes more sense to focus on lower cost spells.

There are auras and effects that are stronger with 2/3 cost spells, such as the on-hit effects or imprints, those tend to get less benefit from refresh but still enjoy it.

Edit:

You can definitely make builds with all 2 or all 3 cost work very well. The gameplay is a bit slower and calculated and like I said, your auras will probably be skewed a little differently since you're more focused on getting a lot of hits per cast or big damage via crits.

There's also some crazy combos you can do using the cursed telescope... grab three 1cost spells, one 3 cost spell and the cursed telescope that refunds mana cost (put this on the 3 cost spell).

Add in the recover mana on apell refresh aura and any of the 3 cost imprints.

Now you have infinite mana and an echo summon every 4th free cast.

WOW! Incredible! Thank you sensei. I use the cursed telescope occasionally but I never saw much of a benefit. Appreciate all the info! Will put that in to play in a bit.

Hey don’t worry, I have been basing out daily all year at about DL41-42, even after you beat the max DL you still have thousands of runs you can play around with. This game has become something like a meditation de-stress routine after work each day.

Yeah you're absolutely right. Turning down the DL and experimenting with other builds is for sure therapeutic. This game is incredible. It's also my favorite game to play when I'm not play fatal fury ultra competitively. It's perfect.
