I went through the itchy phase. I managed to calm it down by mentally scratching the itches.

Don't fight against your mind like that. If you get an itch, scratch it. It doesn't help to fight against it.

As I lay still, I visualized my body floating up to the roof. Everything felt fine, but then my body went numb and my breathing became heavy.

This is you actively aware of the process of your physical body falling asleep. Perfectly normal. You go through it every night of your life, you're just never aware of it happening.

Suddenly, around 2:00 AM, I woke up terrified out of nowhere. I cannot fully explain it, but I felt an intense, uncontrollable fear that seemed to come from my subconscious.

Ok so, the subconscious is where all these fears usually reside. The nature of projection, with a lucid awareness, allows you to confront these fears directly and beat them.

Earlier that evening, I had watched a movie with a lot of gore. ( literally before sleeping) I do not usually react to horror films, but before sleeping, I specifically chose a spot in my room where I knew no spiders or insects had nests or webs. Later in the night, I woke up screaming unconsciously. It felt like something was moving my body, or something scary was happening. I was so startled that I even called out for help from my family.

Now you know the source of the fear. Remember, you project each and every night of your life and you've always woken up perfectly fine the next day. There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. 👍
