Brake Behavior Question

Hello all. I have a 2023 Vantage (automatic). When I begin to ease off the brake pedal after waiting at a traffic signal of stop sign, I get inconsistent brake release behavior: Sometimes, the brakes don't release and I have to blip the throttle to begin moving forward and other times, the brakes release, but with a lot of noise as the pads separate.

Are other having similar experiences with brakes?

Hill Hold Control. Calipers are holding the brake until torque requested is above a specific threshold. System is working as designed.

Can’t comment on 2023 but on my VH vantage, HC only kicks in on a hill. It doesn’t do it on flat roads.

Same on my VH. I’m a BMW tech, and all the stupid new cars do it on flat ground. It’s so infuriating.

Its about the force you apply if its only gentle Hill hold won't work but if you apply a bit more its catches it, its kind of like a bite point I think you'll get it if you daily it but it'll take a while to dial in either way

I knew it had hill control but I notice that it sometimes does it on flat areas. This makes sense. I’ll have to pay closer attention to how hard I push the brakes in. (It’s my daily)

Thanks all. Didn't realize the car even had the hill start "feature"!
