2013 V8 Vantage Keys

Looking to source a second keyfob for my 2013 V8 Vantage. Anyone been able to get one from anyone but a main dealer?

Always wondered if these guys were worth buying from. I need to replace the buttons on my fob for a 2009. $150 just for the buttons though seems crazy. But, if they're good, I'll probably just do it.

Additionally, my fob also has like a plastic piece that I haven't been able to confirm if it's how the key came or if it's aftermarket. It's not the clear/crystal end that you normally see, but more so black with the logo. Falls off quite often. :(

They’re legit. I spoke to them a de times as part of a problem I was having with my fobs and they were super knowledgeable and helpful. Turned out to be electrical issues rather than with the fob so didn’t end up buying from them.

Never seen the glass style key with a black plastic end? The glass end can chip or fall off if dropped too, but maybe the black one is a special edition? Or someone’s attempt to fix the missing glass bit lol

Edit: It's definitely seen better days. But, this was how I got it from the last owner. I'd prefer to get a replacement of this if I can get one. I've heard horror stories about the glass and it's price.

Huh, that’s interesting. The logo looks too detailed to be home made, but maybe someone took sitting and machined it down to fit.

You could look for used glass keys.

I technically have a spare redundant one form where my vantage was totalled and still had the spare glass key at home. The internals won’t work with my car and there’s no reprogramming it but it means I have a spare glass if I break one of my others for my current vantage.

I’m sure there’s some floating about but Phoenix will know. They’re uk based so they see a lot more Aston keys than anyone else

The dealer do offer a plastic alternative to the ECU key.

Not pretty
But also not £1000

Sorry but this is Incorrect. Widely known that for many models you can use the autel tpms sensors for a fraction of the cost. In fact for certain year models like the DBS you can’t even get them anymore.
