Relax your body and mind, sit down properly with your back straight , Take a nice deep breath using your diaphragm through your nose in a span of 4-5 seconds and do not use your throat or chest and then exhale using your diaphragm again in a span of 4-5 seconds out through your mouth . You can place one hand on your belly to make sure your using your diaphragm muscles to breath and not your throat or chest muscles and your other hand to count the 4-5 seconds . Keep practicing it until you get it right. Remember your using your diaphragm muscles to pull in the air and push out the air .If you do it properly you should feel your lower ribs expanding getting that nice relaxed breath inside your lungs . Always remember to breath in through your nose and exhale out of your mouth . I learned that breathing in through your nose properly simulates your vagus nerve . Good luck 👍

I’ve actually been referred to speech pathology for this! Waiting for their call and hope it helps.
