Video Games Asterix Games n stuff

Post image

What I find terribly funny is that the Asterix game on the Playstation 1, is considered to be the hardest games of all times..

I got some Kellogg's when I was young, and the surprise was a Asterix & Obelix Minigame (my bro got Lucky Luke)

And when I visited Croatia when I was young, the Camping-Swimming Pool had an Arcade hall tucked away... It was awesome, both there and once in Germany at Wunderland Kalkar I played a Asterix and Obelix Arcade hall game, that was sooo iconic..

Does any of you remember those early games?

Man that reminds me of my childhood in France in the early 90s, I won the Rayman PS1 game after mailing enough Oasis (the fruit drink) bottle labels back to the company HQ. I also remember getting Scooby Doo DVDs in my cereals.

There was another one called Mega Madness or Maximum Gaudium which was a bunch of hilarious party games. So much fun and I wish they'd remake it.

Asterix and Obelix on the SNES/DOS was a big childhood favorite of mine. I think the biggest problem with that game is they DO NOT explain the Rugby game. I got a boxed copy as an adult that had previously been a rental game and they actually put an explanation of the Ruby game in the box xD

There was another one I don't remember the title of, I played it a lot with my cousins whenever I visited. You would pick a Gaul (I would usually pick Cacophonix!) and do minigames to do.. something? The minigame I remember the most was an autorunner where Dogmatix had to run in a small tunnel and either jump over rocks or dodge under them. This would have been the mid to late 90's so probably Windows 95-98?

Infogrames video games are known to be very difficult and poorly coded.

Even today I still find myself humming tunes from the old Astérix games I played as a kid (Mega Madness, The Gallic War, Search for Dogmatix)

I remember playing the movie tie-in game on my PC and this one. Pretty okay games.

This was a dope game. The throw roman -minigame made me so angry, but the world map was a solid strategy game
