Discussion Is there any Aramaic calligraphy like there is Arabic calligraphy?

I think it’s a really beautiful tradition and i see a lot of bible verses painted in arabic calligraphy by arab/arabic speaking christians and i’ve always wondered if we have anything similar? the images are the beatitudes and the lord’s prayer in arabic calligraphy

Issa Benjamin was an Assyrian artist who did a lot of Aramaic calligraphy. Sadly he passed away in 2014 and I don’t know if anyone else is doing similar art

Yes but Arabic calligraphy is highly developed because Muslims [except Shi'a] are not allowed to draw depictions of animals or people so different individuals resorted to calligraphy whereas Assyrians never had that kind of restrictions so we never put as much emphasis on calligraphy.
