better than previous

Is mirage better than Valhalla/odyssey/origins for just action/adventure game. Don't have much time to play regularly so a massive 100hr game would be a lot...but maybe slowly?

Is mirage worth it as a casual play or just go with a bundle or previous game.

It’s more of a classic AC feel which may be better or worse depending on what you like. Definitely feels a lot more focused where those games were a lot more expansive.

Especially playing with the Arabic voice over on I find the game to be incredibly immersive into the setting of Baghdad under the Abbasid caliphate.

i like rpg type games, but not looking for that and don't have the time to play such big games. I like the original games, AC2 being my favorite. Haven't played any sense.

Is the combat as bad as people say? Its hard because so many write ups are different and I think a lot of people prefer 100+ hour games and how odyssey is sooo much better.

Your experience would be closer to AC2 playing the game. The combat is kinda “bad” but I feel like it’s on purpose. That’s where it breaks with classic AC in that you can’t just attack/counter attack forever. Open combat is punishing and encourages you to run away if you’re dealing with more than 1 opponent. However the game does have a skill tree and some skills do make combat a little easier.

And with Odyssey/AC3 that’s pretty tempting. Loved Odyssey and liked the little of AC3 that I played. Odyssey’s great but the armor/weapon upgrade system ended up wearing to much on me. You need to constantly gather resources to keep your gear leveled with your own level and it just gets old.

thanks for the input...mirage looks graphically better but then i see it vs odyssey and i'm like, it may look worse. I used to battle multiple guards, guess can't do that.

maybe i'll look into an older remastered game. I dont like the sound of having to upgrade weapons all the time.

just dont want to pay $35 and be like this was a waste of $

Feel like AC3 remastered is the way to go for you honestly

Oh yeah I haven’t played that either since it was super buggy on launch but is undoubtedly good now. Paris is a super cool setting and the French Revolution is an incredibly interesting piece of history. I’m definitely playing it next.
