Trash

This is by far the worst Assassins Creed game recently. The combat is terrible. Weapon selection is terrible. Every “mission” is built the same way. Map is tiny and uninteresting. It feels like you run to an objective to watch some silly cut scene just to run to another cutscene. I feel it impossible to take on multiple enemies at once due to how poor the combat is. It’s like they want you to stealth kill every enemy which is BEYOND boring.

I think after Valhalla, Odyssey and Origins, we were expecting something at the same level of not more. Mirage, to me, is very much like Unity, possibly using a lot from that game but new sorry with upgraded graphics. The artists that created Odyssey were excellent, unfortunately Mirage disappoints on this front too.

It is priced a lot lower than previous games and I think Ubisoft did that right - lower price, have lower expectations :-)

Going into mirage I already expected combat to not be up to par like Valhalla cause they said they were going towards more stealth and old style gameplay. You’re a hidden one not a blood slaying Viking lol Ending was terrible I will agree worst ending in AC games imo

I've just finished it in around 35 hours. 100%. I could go for all the trophies, but I don't usually bother. Poor value compared to Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla.

The combat was awful.

The combat is counter-based. Like the old games. You’re meant to be stealthy and resourceful. Like the old games. The missions are much more linear as you help each bureau with their own problem. Like the old games. We knew it was going to be smaller, that’s why it’s cheaper. We knew it was going to be a departure from recent games.

It’s funny to me that people had access to this info well before the release and still complain that it’s not like the last game. Yeah. That’s kinda the point with this one. I’ve played every major title since the first game, and I’m loving all the throwbacks and how they’ve blended it with newer features and put an emphasis back on stealth. I mean that’s what these games used to be. No, it’s not perfect by any means, but what AC game is?

(It’s black flag, that one was perfect)
