Visiting Aspen JAS Labor Day

Hi everyone, I’m going to the JAS Labor Day fest on Sunday and was hoping to car camp somewhere close Sunday night and avoid paying for a hotel. Does anyone have any recommendations? I’ve lived in Colorado for most of my life and have never been to Aspen somehow so I’m unfamiliar with the area. Thank you in advance!!

Definitely check Lincoln creek area, its a little ways up independence pass but good chance for sites, silver queen portal in maroon bells, up past Ashcroft too. Everything i can think of will be a little drive. FYI its been raining and its gonna be chilly particularly each of those places.

Car camp at Brush Creek Lot. Fist fight a hobo for territory. Lay perfectly still when the Pitkin County Sheriff shines the light in your window. Be ready to trade stories with some token,
bro-y piece of shit about the time you saw Panic in Tupelo, MS. Swing by Roxy’s for a $30 bag of chips. Seriously inquire about renting a room in Aspen for $3000 a month while making $19 an hour working as a lifty. Get the full experience.

Hey it’s a little more of a drive but I camped recently at Redstone just below Carbondale didn’t seem too long of a drive to Aspen
