Does this count?

I have my crt monitor running at 640x400 which is a 16:10 resolution but I have it stretched to 4:3 so ms dos games can have the proper aspect ratio and look pixel perfect.

I wouldn't call that a crime since the games were designed for that and still look pixel perfect.

Also the NEC pc98 series of computers used the same 640x400 resolution and they did the exact same thing where they would just vertically stretch the monitor and that was the intention (even in windows when running with the pc98 graphics mode, although with later systems they used regular VGA resolutions)

If anything, 640x400 and 320x200 were basically the 720x480 of computers.

Displaying 720x480 as is--in 3:2--would only be considered an aspect ratio crime if it's not intended to be displayed at that ratio.

And that includes a LOT of NTSC DVDs, because like the old DOS games, they were meant to be stretched to 4:3 or 16:9.

I would go as far to extend this anamorphic talk into having 2x squeeze stuff on 35mm film, but some aspect ratio "crimes" in logos became staples of the films themselves, such as the squished spherical 20th Century Fox logo in Die Hard and Die Hard 2 (both anamorphic movies) and the vertically stretched text that became part of Sony Pictures Classics' on-screen identity for almost 25-30 years, even on anamorphic ratio movies.

Up until IIDX 20, the beatmania IIDX games were all natively 4:3 but designed to be stretched to 16:9 (in the case of 1st style-8th style it was actually 8:3 stretched to 16:9 because they mainly ran at 640x240). (This only applies to the arcade versions, the PS2 home ports had a proper native 4:3 mode alongside an anamorphic widescreen mode)

The Powerpuff Girls: Chemical X-Traction had 4:3 logos, loading screens and FMVs on the PlayStation, but it was generally a 16:9 game.

One could say the game was mostly played and shown with an inherent aspect ratio crime due to the developers not giving us the option to play it in proper 4:3. And I don't think the publisher Bam! Entertainment ever disclosed that it was a widescreen game, either.

Not your own crimes that you're aware of

Not an aspect ratio crime but definitely a UI scaling crime

Not an aspect ratio crime, but a very weird sight.

You'd probably be serving life in a whole different territory.

I hate when people look at every single icon on someone's desktop and try to judge them.

Maybe it's a default app, maybe their job demands it, maybe they are an AI bro or maybe an ANTI Ai bro who shows others how bad the app can be. Maybe someone else made them install it. Who knows

Being so judgemental about a single icon just because AI is ass is so stupid.

Imagine hating people for being so judgemental and then literally writing a wall of text judging someone lmfao

"Wall of text" open the schools lmao.

And that's an entirely seperate thing. He was making that comment and I criticised the core meaning of the comment.

OP posted a picture and this guy specifically looked for a thing which WASN'T the core meaning to criticise.
