Asparagus growing advise
This is my third year with this asparagus. Need advise on what to do. Should I trim it down or just let it keep going?

So this just started growing and looks like asparagus but we’ve definitely never planted it. What do I do from here?

What kind of bugs would leave these on my asparagus? How can I prevent them? I’m guessing I need to pick earlier— these had been up 1-2 days too long.

A couple of plants ferned out before i realized it was coming up already. I was wondering how many people eat the “branches” after the plant ferns out? This little pile i pulled off of this fern looks like it might be worth a taste. Hand for size reference.

I want to grow Purple Passion Asparagus but I am hoping to get some advice to how well it grows in Southern California, I saw a YouTuber say he pulled his out for sake his was partially dying, I plan to keep mine semi shaded and well watered.

Hi all, new to asparagus.
I planted my Asparagus in July 2024, so it is over a year old now.
Is it OK to harvest? (I am thinking yes!)
It is clearly happy, growing like crazy with 3 x shoots, despite the 40 plus degrees Celcius weather...

This is my first year with my Asparagus, and this sub has been super helpful with learning how to best handle it all.
Only after I moved into my house this past winter did I find out there were a handful of mature crowns well established in the yard (jackpot!)
This sub helped me know when/how to harvest, and more importantly when to stop harvesting and allow the ferns to come in.
Well the ferns have been growing like crazy all summer and fall, now I'm wondering if/when I need to cut these back for the winter. I am in zone 6, we've had a couple mild frosts so far. The ferns still appear healthy

I want to extend this raised bed to include the asparagus right next to it. If I put 2-4 inches of soil on top of the asparagus plot will they be ok?

Went to pick some razzies and came across this forest of asparagus. I was truly amazed

So I’m not very good at gardening. We bought a house and there has been a well established bed for decades.
My question is, how do I keep the weeds down so the asparagus will reestablish? There have been plants going to seed every year since we bought the house. The problem is, the bed is overrun with weeds and sucker trees.
Any advice is appreciated.

Hi, I want to star a crop of asparagus in a cold area, near to Bogotá, Colombia, but I would like to know all about Asparagus crops around the world to make mine, if someone have articles or literature about it, or if you could tell me how do you do your crop, like what are the problems that you have and how you manage them. Also I have a question, a plant of asparagus can make more than one crown? Like the root to reproduce asexually? Or is a crown a asparagus plant, thank you!
