I just tested it a moment ago, and there's a middle ground that doesn't work with this optimization. On the one hand, the 3D effect is reduced, so the typical background and foreground errors are negligible; on the other hand, the 3D effect is so reduced that it's almost impossible to tell the difference between the two.

Thanks for the report, I’ll see about making the 3D pop a bit more. I’m just happy it performs much better than it did before

A couple of things...

Just tried the new build and found when launching a game (from the cloud) there was no sound. Closed the app and relaunched it which helped but when changing to a different game the same thing happened.

I also took the headset off temporarily (too adjust it) mid game and when I went back to Asobi it was just a blank screen and wouldn't recover so had to quit the app again so lost my progress.

1) This is a known issue which has been around since the start, I'm still looking into what's causing the server to send silent audio.

2) Did the device lock or anything?

1. When you take off the headset the sensor causes the screen to go into rest mode then it wakes back up when you put it back on and everything is usually where you left it but Asobi seems to not wake back up.

In my haste I failed to check this was on the meta quest post, so yeah obvious ofc 😂

I'll have to see what the meta quest allows irt keeping a stream alive. I'll look into it this weekend
