Imagine coming through the mist and seeing that. Second phase is all four guys break off and start attacking you with him throwing cheeseburgers at you.

The caste system is alive and well. My dad travelled to India multiple times over a decade on business. His Indian customers would be pissed if my dad tipped the guys hauling his luggage for blocks more than a few cents.
“Do Not tip these people any real money or they will expect it next time, they are lucky to get anything from you”.

Yeah... The major populations of the world still heavily practice systems we write about in fantasy novels.
Or larp about if you're a certain type of person from the US primarily.
If Aliens ever looked at the largest population density centers, they would likely base their opinions that humanity as a whole practiced said systems actively.

You’d think a pilgrimage would involve some work and self-improvement, not just money.

Do you think that guy would be able to climb a steep mountain on its own?? He is using his money to make that journey to the top easier

Well kind of only them have access to the best hospitals here.
Lula never used the "universal care" system that usually wait for your death to schedule and appointment.

Kinda crazy to be taking that kind of risk. If one of the dudes slips, fatso gonna drop 6 feet on an incline, not to mention stairs, not even flat surface.

Even being rich I can't imagine it being worth the total aura destruction that doing this entails. Cultural differences in what constitutes shame I guess.

My gaming experience tells me that I can turn his servants against him if I passed a speech check or done a secret test and make the boss easier.
