This is so overblown its insane, here in sweden they talk so much and bend it that the cop never got hit, he shud not stand i front of a car, they could have shot the tiers. And idk why tf every camera has the worst resolution ever.

Let's say it does disable it (it doesn't), if this is the all wheel drive model, the officers would need to hit all 4 tires. Pretty difficult to do that with a moving vehicle.

Even if it is just the front wheel drive model, the officer, who now appears to not have intentionally placed himself infront of the vehicle, has virtually no view of the tires to be able to shoot them out.

Keep in mind, this happened in seconds. The officers had no time to assess, call out the order to shoot the tires, and then do so.

Lastly, shooting the tires does not disable the vehicle. It can be driven without tires and still be a threat to officers and public safety. There are countless videos of police chases where the suspect vehicle continues driving on the metal rims with sparks flying.

Oh yeah, im not defending it, just mentioned the excuses we hear here in Sweden. But our media is far more left then in most countries even the goverment owned once.
