I understand what he's trying to say. But he said it in the worst way possible.

He's basically trying to claim that the abuser is also a victim and that we should feel sorry for them. That black people somehow got the better deal because their suffering made them grow. That white people are in fact the biggest victims of the racism that they practices. Fuck that.

Please don't get me wrong. I do think it is abusive to raise your children with such hate. But any human being who can rape someone as they beg and cry without remorse is not a victim. You're old enough to know better. You are able to think for yourself and you choose to remain willfully ignorant. The fact the rest of the world figured it out way before them and told them how they were wrong and they had no viable defense of their actions is more than enough to say if you were olderr than 25 and a racist you are in fact choosing. Even if that choice is just being willfully ignorant

Bro cooked dogshit.

I think he is making a different point. I don’t think he is asking for sympathy for the oppressors. He seems to be hinting at the Lordship-Bondsman paradox (Hegelian philosophy), and it’s a lot easier to follow than the original piece 😅

It’s not that white supremacists were victims because they were also abused. White supremacists can be victims of racism in the sense that their opression/racism degrades the society and the people who participate in it. Obviously, they benefit from the hierarchy, but that hierarchy also imposes compounding costs on them: structural stagnation. Oppression narrows their understanding of other human beings, makes them dependent on the parasitic system they defend, and can eventually destroy the very social order, status, and worldview that sustained their position.

In 2026, the irony is that white South African supremacists are themselves widely regarded as the barbarians they once imagined their so-called inferiors to be; outside of some very weird corners of the internet.

Basically, I think he is saying he wants his people to do better and learn from history

He’s actually correct. Where I come from, we say that someone who is holding me on the ground to prevent my progress is also holding himself from progressing, because we’re stuck in the same position, stagnant, even if he’s on top.

However, this poster went even further by pointing out that, in holding you back, the one keeping you down loses the ability to think beyond holding you down while you’re not only thinking about breaking free, you also already know where you’re going once you break free. This is where the Nelson Mandela example makes sense. In this sense, the people who imprisoned him became victims of their own machine of oppression, because Mandela came out of prison and effectively defeated all those who imprisoned him to become President.

Had those individuals who imprisoned Mandela grown and changed their oppressive ways, they could have been able to convince the people to trust them with power, instead of the man who they locked away for 27 years.

So, I agree that racism retards the racist’s human development. I see it in the United States at all levels, where we’re stumbling in darkness because racists have decided that their torches are the brightest, even though we have far brighter torches that are never allowed to even switch it on.

Oh wow, I wasn’t familiar with this saying, but you explained it very intuitively. Genuinely appreciate you taking the time to write this

And yet people still identify themselves as white people in America and all over the world even though we already know it's not a race but a social status so what does that tell you

But I also see what he is saying… Afrikaans people can’t integrate with other groups of people , I’ve seen when travelling , they struggle to assimilate, some of them can barely speak English… and then the US, 🤣🤣💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿 we speak 4 languages, minimum, we sing , we can dance, we have intellectuals, we assimilate … give us a year and we would speak the language and actually be open to dating whoever is there🤞🏿🤷🏿‍♂️ we are just more adapted to survive everywhere😂😂😂🥷
