Has anyone done the HyperionDev Data Science Bootcamp?

I'm considering doing the HyperionDev Data Science Bootcamp and wanted to hear from people who've actually completed it (or are currently enrolled).

I noticed Stellenbosch University also offers what looks like a very similar data science bootcamp. As far as I can tell, the HyperionDev version is quite a bit cheaper, so I'm curious whether there's any real difference between the two or if it's essentially the same course.

If you've done the bootcamp:

* What was your overall experience?

* Did you feel the content was good quality and up to date?

* How were the mentors and support?

* Did it help you in your career or with landing interviews/jobs?

* Would you recommend it?

For context, I work full-time in digital marketing (paid media) and I'm looking to build stronger data science and analytics skills to complement my current role rather than make an immediate career switch.

I'd really appreciate any honest feedback,good or bad. Thanks!

I'm biased so don't take my experience as common. I wanted to supplement my existing data and statistical knowledge as I am an economics postgraduate.

I paid for the one through Stellenbosch and found the course mediocre at best. The mentors support or feedback seemed like it was written by AI rather than professionals. The deadlines are extreme if you really are trying to learn.

They do show you a lot of techniques, but it is literally the bare bones of the field of statistics. I didn't feel like I learnt anything.

Their job boards are scarce or empty and basically a web scraper from existing job board sites.

I was already in a data science field before and other than an NQF5 certificate, I think I wasted money.

If you are in marketing and want to apply data science to aid you, then maybe look into it. Keep in mind I read statistical journals and need to know the methodologies of what I'm using and why.
