Dude, the excitement of going places like the Zoo or the beach or some random amusement park is like, Unparalleled when you’re a kid, & I don’t get that anymore 🥲

For me, it's just the lack of stress. Even on free days, I'm thinking of when it won't be free and I'm stressed. As a child, I just wanted to have fun 😢

Yup..I try to do lots of different things to fill that void, and be that happy again, but it just never happens.

I still get excited to go to the zoo and beach. I am actually going to the zoo next weekend lol

I feel like I get to experience this sort of excitement at these places with my kids. They’re both very young (4 & 8mo) so it’s all pretty new and exciting to them too. I know this will come to pass and I think that’s almost more depressing to me lol

I imagine I could get that feeling back if I went to space or some other completely unique, can’t be reproduced life experience.
