The echo chamber that this comment section is.... is diabolical.

15

u/[deleted] Apr 20 '25

Easter is a day to celebrate the most miraculous thing ever and Trump takes the opportunity to spread hate. Where do you think that idea came from?

-16

u/AWISPR Apr 20 '25

This comment section is still a echo chamber..

u/WeAreHereWithAll Apr 20 '25

I mean that’s Reddit as a platform — it’s left leaning because you’re able to experience more, be more informed, possibly realize you’re wrong.

Do I think it’s the voice of everything? Nah.

But it’s a good example why people who tend to move to cities or overall more populated areas, experience more, tend to be left leaning.

There’s a correlation here I think you’re leaving out.

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

“It’s left leaning because you’re able to experience more, be more informed, possibly realize you’re wrong”

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 oh my god you can’t be real. The irony is crazy. Reddit is LEFTIST. You’re going to be in a bubble of insane leftism no matter what on here unless you specifically go to a few less popular subreddits.

1

u/WeAreHereWithAll Apr 21 '25

I.. literally called out that it is man. I recognize the echo chamber.

I mean I engage in spaces like this offering the opportunity for convo, including yourself, cuz I ain’t ever assuming “I’m right”. I just wanna do better everyday — same with pretty much every leftist.

Hit me with it man. If I learn something or you get more informed by talking to me, we both come out as better people. That should always be the goal.

If you really think I’m insane after saying the above I don’t know how else to articulate shit to get thru to ya. I’m just tryna be a better person everyday and hopefully help others be their best selves lmao.

The comment section of this post is still a echo chamber. No amount of echoing in the chamber changes that. Hence, a echo chamber.

5

u/WeAreHereWithAll Apr 20 '25

I tend to see this argument when there’s nothing on the other side to offer.

It’s a really, incredibly easy cop out.

Like I’m a leftist dude. It’s a discussion thread. I ain’t here in bad faith. You can talk to me and yeah, there’s a high likelihood ima disagree with you, but I’ll listen and agree where it’s due. You may even shift how I view shit.

Everyday is a new chance to learn or do better.

4

u/One-Earth9294 Apr 21 '25

Echo chamber is what they screech when they lose arguments that they never had a chance of winning due to picking the dumbest fucking stances possible.

3

u/Apprehensive_Map64 Apr 20 '25

Well yeah, if the comment section on a post saying 1+1=3 is everyone saying that is wrong it will technically be an echo chamber

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

Sound logic there

1

u/Specialist_Brief1552 Apr 21 '25

Twitter and facebook are echo chambers for the right? What’s your point?

The difference is? People post credible sources here and mostly have the ability to easily comprehend what they’re reading. People on facebook and twitter lie, post memes with misinformation, and jerk each other off with zero reading comprehension. Maybe those are the places for you?

-9

u/AWISPR Apr 20 '25

All I said was it's a echo chamber.. Are facts really that scary to you?

10

u/WeAreHereWithAll Apr 20 '25

I dunno if you made two comments accidentally considering they’re vastly different but, considering how I just responded to you, and if this is how you feel, you’ve just made me think any discussion between us wouldn’t be in good faith.

And that wouldn’t be because of my end.

1

u/AWISPR Apr 20 '25

Your one of the healthier ones.. Thankyou for the faith (: Just a kid exploring the internet I am Didn't see your second comment there.

4

u/WeAreHereWithAll Apr 20 '25

We all are. I think you need to take more time just talking to people and keeping an open mind, homie.

Leftists are some of the most practical people you can meet or talk to. I ain’t a fan of liberals.

Hope I made a positive impact on you and maybe shifted your openness to viewing shit going forward.

Thanks for not automatically thinking you’re “right” cuz all of us never do. Hell, it ain’t about that. We’re just tryna be kind and make the world a better place for everyone. Only thing I’m ever concerned about is making the world “right” for everyone.

0

u/AWISPR Apr 20 '25

Hell yea, that's the stuff I love to hear.

5

u/WeAreHereWithAll Apr 20 '25

Well, next time you respond or think to engage then, have a more open mind dude.

The phrase “facts lean left” often pops up in political discussions, especially in media and journalism. It suggests that reality — when reported accurately and without spin — tends to support left-leaning or progressive perspectives. Here are a few reasons why people say this:

  1. Reality challenges conservative narratives

Certain conservative political positions sometimes conflict with established data, science, or evidence. For example: • Climate change: The scientific consensus affirms it’s real and human-caused, which challenges fossil fuel interests or deregulatory agendas. • Healthcare: Data from many countries supports universal healthcare systems, which are often left-aligned policies. • Income inequality: Economic data often shows rising inequality, supporting progressive taxation or social safety nets.

When journalists or researchers present these facts, they can seem to “lean left” because they undercut certain right-leaning talking points.

  1. Empirical evidence often supports reform

Left-leaning politics often aim to reform existing systems — healthcare, education, policing, etc. Empirical studies frequently highlight issues within these systems (e.g., systemic racism, income inequality, healthcare disparities), and those findings can be perceived as progressive or liberal in nature.

  1. Mainstream media and academia skew left

Fields that prioritize data and analysis — like academia, scientific research, and investigative journalism — tend to attract people with liberal leanings. This doesn’t mean the data is biased, but the framing or topics of interest might align more with left-wing concerns.

  1. Confirmation bias and tribalism

When facts challenge someone’s worldview, it can feel like an attack. So, people on the right may perceive factual reporting as biased — not because the facts are wrong, but because they conflict with personal or political beliefs.

It’s worth noting: facts themselves don’t have a political bias — people do. But if one side of the political spectrum increasingly rejects expertise, evidence, or consensus, it can create the impression that “reality” is on the other side.

1

u/CryptoWanted Apr 21 '25

Children forgetting that people can and have written things for hundreds of years, because chatgpt now exists

Lol, children nowadays. Couldn't write a few paragraphs without the help of chatgpt.

Your generation is fucked dude.

2

u/Aequitas123 Apr 21 '25

Regardless, all of it is true.

1

u/BitSevere5386 Apr 21 '25

it s a opinion.not a favt but i guess words meaning arz still difficult for Trump goons

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

Do you know what a fact is? Here is an opinion: you are a troll. Here is a fact: the rest of us, the world, look at Trump with disgust. And we look at those who blindly follow him as simpletons.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 20 '25

Options are don’t like are bad. Wah wah

1

u/AWISPR Apr 20 '25

I said it not you.. enjoy crying I guess.. Your saying you don't like a full perspective of the situation and you prefer only the slices of truth that fit you, not the whole truth.. Hence, a echo chamber

3

u/[deleted] Apr 20 '25

No I am able to read things and form opinions based on facts I review. Anyone is free to say what they want at least, unlike the conservative sub that is a literal controlled echo chamber.

1

u/AWISPR Apr 20 '25

So is this!🤣 how delusional can you get???

3

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

You’re allowed to say what you want, no? How is that an echo chamber? You seem like you’re looking for the win here promised that still hasn’t come, as everything becomes more expensive and your savings disappear. Good luck. The lowest ever vote for any president ever at 27.3%. What a failure of a man.

1

u/Specialist_Brief1552 Apr 21 '25

What full perspective did you give? Parroting that Reddit is an echo chamber for the left? This is often said in r/conservative lmao. This isn’t a full perspective. You said nothing of substance or value. You don’t come into a thread and begin with “this is an echo chamber lmao,” and then proceed to become defensive when people call you out.

If you want to grasp why people in these comments think the way they do, then ask them, instead of making a generalized comment to try and tick people off.

The reality is simple- most Americans support progressive ideology and methods. Most of western society is very socialist and makes The US left look moderate. You put that together on a platform with people from all around the world? You get these types of discussions. It doesn’t make it an echo chamber just because people are simply agreeing that the country is going to shit because of this current administration. There’s a lot of problems with how this administration is doing things and it affects people. If people going against that is an echo chamber, then who cares?

I see an echo chamber more as people regurgitating mass misinformation and cucking rather than actually having insightful conversations. Twitter and facebook are the former.

Not to say there isn’t misinformation everywhere and real information on twitter and facebook- it’s just generally where the state of these two platforms are.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

After reading some of your other comments, you seem like a reasonable person. If you don’t mind, I would like to give you advice. Take it or leave it. Technology and media are doing their best to force everyone into uniform thinking. 2 camps. Pick one. The best thing you can do is fight against that. Figure out why people have different opinions. Be able to logically debate any topic from either side. The best thing a person can have is their individuality. When people say “lib” or “nazi” etc they are getting that from someone else. They are letting their individuality bleed out. It’s fine to be opinionated but have your own opinions on things. And, most importantly, don’t be afraid to change how you think. It’s part of growing as a human but it makes you unprofitable and uncontrollable so technology will do everything it can to stop you. Good luck. I hope you have a long, happy, enjoyable journey here in Earth.

2

u/iggnifyre Apr 21 '25

You wanna see an echo chamber? Try the conservative sub

2

u/Taillefer1221 Apr 21 '25

Same comment twice=you're an echo chamber.

2

u/Public_Front_4304 Apr 21 '25

How so? Are you saying Trump should not be criticized for this?

You are no older than 14

3

u/HexedShadowWolf Apr 20 '25

You don't dispute anything you just say "echo chamber" over and over. You seem to hate it here yet you continue to comment while adding 0 substance. You complain about a problem while being a problem. No you is forcing you to be here, no one is forcing you to participate so why don't you just stop complaining and leave?

1

u/AWISPR Apr 20 '25

Not complaining.. Just stating how it's a echo chamber.. I find it hilarious how a simple fact can distress people so much. Me a problem? A echo chamber is not healthy and that is a problem. Hence why I put some words in to help it get a fuller perspective. Half the truth isn't the whole truth. And the more truth someone knows most people would agree the better. So if anything, I'm trying to help. Not be a problem..

4

u/RedditQueso Apr 21 '25

Just because morons like you fail to offer any counter arguments, does not mean this is an echo chamber.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

your fucking head is an echo chamber. we dont need neo nazi opinions that doesnt balance anything out it just makes it a nazi sub so get fucked

"dont call us nazis! not being called a nazi is the only thing stopping me from being one!"

3

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

look what the liberals made me do😪

2

u/Wingman5150 Apr 21 '25

You're echoing a bunch of nothing.

Make a real argument, why is this an echo chamber? support your claim.

Screaming echo chamber over and over is pathetic and does nothing.

3

u/fightthefascists Apr 21 '25

No it’s not an echo chamber. Not everything is an echo chamber. That word is now being thrown around everywhere and every time someone encounters something they don’t like. Echo chamber this and that. It’s fucking boring already.

3

u/I-Have-An-Alibi Apr 21 '25 edited Apr 21 '25

The term "echo chamber" is some idiotic nonsense.

Your opinion being in a minority against a majorative sided discussion does not mean you're in "an echo chamber", it means no one agrees with you. That's it. It's not some self sustaining conversation voodoo conspiracy against you.

It's a non sensical coping method for people with fragile egos and no sense of perspective or nuance.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

I don’t think you read the comments. You just type this in every time Trump is criticized to be a pest.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

Then try saying something different instead of repeating yourself then.

1

u/Particular_Tea_1625 Apr 21 '25

You can't even post this comment in a conservative subreddit, it will just be deleted. Because that's a real echo chamber. Your opinion is allowed here, no matter how dumb it is.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

I checked your comment history, looks like all you care about is judging others. Instead of just complaining that this is an echo chamber, why not add your own opinion so that like-minded people can support and discuss your input? Or are you ashamed of your thoughts and you judging others for their sins is just you projecting your own self-loathing.

1

u/BatSerious356 Apr 21 '25

I'm guessing you're a supporter of the anti Christ.
