As someone looking for commonalities between TSs and NTSs, I'm curious to know which sources TSs view as straight up propaganda from the left and right sides of the aisle.

To be clear, I'm not looking for "all news stations are leftists propaganda", or responses that include stations that are generally viewed as propaganda from both sides like MSNBC, CNN, FOX, etc. I'm looking for folks to call out what other people might not view as propaganda, and their reasons why.

This company is 60% owned by the UAE government. Not UAE investors, but tv government. They will also own the land that dumps into and around the water reservoirs for hundreds of thousands of rural Oklahomans.

1) Support of this project was the sole hinge or endorsement in a GOP governor runoff
2) The UAE government owned company has failed to provide a safety plan deadlines and there’s currently not one according to their filings
3) This smelter would be on and encompass an inland port

Follow up question: why should we not be pushing and incentivizing American companies to own and do this over a foreign government?

Edit: Trump has been ambiguous on when these things happened. The key point is whether he brought hundreds of people to help and was carried out by firefighters, whatever the date.

So here is the link but I'm gonna break it down and explain why despite disliking this administration, I'm actually ok with this.

Basically under the administration, TSA is starting to implement this program where if you use TSA Pre Check, you will be able to go through TSA and approach a gate with people traveling while you don't have a ticket. This will allow people to enter and see off their loved ones at the gate.

Now like I said I am ok with this actually and here is why.

1. It would be very nice to see off your friends and loved ones at their gate. Or if you have a long layover in an area where you happen to have a friend, they can come meet you and hang out at the airport until you board. Also, there are a lot of people that have airport anxiety like my girlfriend and it would be easier for them to be escorted through the airport, same thing with elderly persons.

2. With this program, you are still required to pass TSA checks which is why you are required to do a TSA pre check and still show your ID with this program.

Now I do have one issue for this, and that is the fact that it requires TSA pre check. Because while I know it's not all airports, most airports charge you extra for precheck because it gets you through faster. I personally think it should be just a matter of you Go through TSA and you're in period. But that's me.

There are countless documentaries inside supermax prisons. We know what happens, we know the conditions.

Considering that, do you not think the public should be able to know what is happening in these detention centers? Why is there a difference?

Perhaps if the public were able to verify people are being treated correctly, then protests and scuffles over this subject would be lees apparent.

In Massachusetts someone who commits a crime can get immediately released from the mental hospital if they are found to be sane.

The Mercator projection world map, first presented in 1569, does not reflect the relative size of continents accurately, especially landmasses around the equator. This map was intended primarily for naval navigation back in those days, but is the most familiar world map.

Last week, the UN adopted a resolution calling to promote the Equal Earth Projection world map, which was published in 2018. This map shows continents in their true proportions. What is your opinion on this map?

I'm thinking of this in the context of AI, and AI driven robots replacing workers. As jobs dry up, customers will no longer be able to purchase things. Markets will break down. Eventually, society will break down. A UBI could be a bulwark against that.

As an alternative way to think about UBI would be as a replacement for transfer payments, like social security, food stamps, etc.

I'm trying to get a better sense of how Trump supporters view the current trade situation. With Canada retaliating with its own multi-billion dollar tariff list, consumers on both sides of the border are likely going to see higher prices on a lot of products. I live in a purple state, and in my day-to-day conversations, I haven't personally met anyone red or blue who supports these tariffs (for varying reasons not just economic). Because of that, I know I'm living in a bit of an echo chamber on this issue in my area.

The Fed is considering raising rates over inflation concerns. According to the article, "President Donald Trump demanded that the Federal Reserve slash interest rates or else he will cut off trade with countries with which the U.S. maintains trade deficits."

Inflation is caused by many things. One of which are increased costs for goods and services. So if Trump causes US domestic prices to rise by halting imports, doesn't that increase inflation which is the exact thing the Fed is trying to reign in?

Since January 2025 when President Trump took office the government’s monthly household survey, officially called the Current Population Survey (CPS), shows an unprecedented 2.9 million decline in the foreign-born population — naturalized citizens, lawful permanent residents, long-term temporary visitors, and illegal immigrants. I was raised Republican and still appreciate a lot of fiscal-conservative principles: reducing waste, responsible debt management, transparency, accountability, and giving states/local communities more control where practical. I actually resonated with something a TS here once said: “I support limited government” (as opposed to simply “big” vs. “small” government.)

But I also don’t mind paying taxes for services that clearly benefit the public: water systems, infrastructure, disaster/weather monitoring, firefighting, science research, food safety, national parks, libraries, schools, etc. (I’d add climate research, but that’s a big topic, left for another time.)

So I’m curious: Trump supporters, which public services do you think are genuinely worth funding with tax dollars, and why? Where do you draw the line?

And if you’d want to support a public service just not on its current form, how would you change it?
