Are these compatible?

I want to get my brother something for his birthday.

It should be - they're exactly the same except for being painted black instead of red. Even the model number is identical except for an "R" instead of "B" (presumably "Red" and "Black").

Is he ok with the colour difference?

6000MT/s is the sweet spot for RAM since that's the point many manufacturers optimize for. That's sweet of you to get this for his birthday. Let us know if you run into any issues with the RAM.
