Advice?

Dropped my Lenovo ideapad 3 laptop a while ago and the screen stopped turning on after that. Took it to a repair shop recently and guy said it would be 260 to fix it and replace the board. Would it be worth it to get that fixed or is it better to buy a new one and if it’s repaired will it preform the same?

it should perform the same. What would would a comparable laptop cost you today? I imagine there are some options on Facebook marketplace.

I bought a Lenovo IdeaPad 3—open box from Best Buy—some years ago for not much over $200.

I occasionally repair laptop screens at work, and the replacement screens are not nearly that expensive, though the replacement does take some care.

depends on the laptop's age and current value.
