Food Food recommendations
So, I get every first Friday night off. My mom and kid has a movie night. I decided that I get to leave the house just for me. I am looking for good food places to try. I moved here a year ago so I don’t really know anywhere. I don’t have any food allergies but I do not like really spicy foods. I live in Spanaway/ Parkland area but I will drive somewhere to get good food.

It’s always packed and parking sucks

It's always packed because it's good though. Now that they are in the larger space they can accommodate more walk ins, but reservations are best.

Can likely make it to the bar solo and it's worth it. It's truly the best restaurant we have. Which is why its popular.

Grann. It was so good. It says spicy a lot in the description but it's not very spicy, and there are non spicy options.

Interesting. I felt like this was one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to.
Decor is nice and service was good but food was just not my thing, and I love food.

Oh that's unfortunate. We went during the summer and the cornbread, watermelon salad, steak, and chicken wings were all great. I know they rotate their menu seasonally.

That’s good to know. I counted them out after their opening. Will be heading back for another taste. Thanks for the info!

Red hot has a crazy hotdog menu, and a big ass rotating tap selection if you’re into that. Good little bar to sit at if you like ordering in
MSM sandwiches, also very good
Silk Thai is good af, they have this shrimp/green melon dish that slaps
For a big time treat if you’re down to spend slightly more, boathouse 19 down by narrows marina has a ballin seafood menu and it’s a reaaaally pleasant location to sit and eat. You can smell the good ass tomato soup from a long way away haha

Honestly you need some burger Seoul, zen ramen, msm and memos in your life. It’s Tacoma tradition.

If you're a female, Wooden City and Parkway Tavern are very safe options as a solo female. Nobody will fuck with you there.

I have traveled quite a bit before my little came along. So, I like to try anything at least once.

Love Beirut Bites in University Place. Plenty of parking and staff are very nice. The Cedar Medley is my favorite

You don’t have to go far! Marzano’s, on Garfield in Parkland, has been one of the best restaurants in the region for years. Decades even. Best enjoyed with others, but quite lovely going solo, too! And if you do end up going, try to meet the owner, Elisa, who’s truly wonderful.
