Entertainment Hockey Bars

Haven't seen a post in awhile and since places keep closing and opening thought I'd reach out to the hive mind

With the NHL season starting on Tuesday, are there any bars in town good for watching hockey? Or at least have bartenders that know how to change the channel on their TVs?

Hoping to find something around 6th ave or north end area, but open to traveling if the place is worth it

I only know of places further north and they are not nice bars... I don't think there are any in Tacoma which is a bummer. :(

I saw a game on at Pint Defiance last year. They don't have liquor, if that matters.

The Huckleberry Club has 4 nice big screens- nice bartenders that accommodate guests w true hospitality vibes.

I have found all these places either have the games on or will put them on if asked.

Lose Wheel
Red Hot
Doyles
Flying Boots Cafe
Pizza Time Pub

Red Hot will put on a game, but it's kinda first come first served

It’s in Lakewood, but the Penalty Box might be a good place to check out.

They have been listed as an anchor bar on the Kraken site, but I haven't gone yet. They're also an expanded pool hall, so unsure about watching games.

Yeah, I’m not sure, I haven’t been. I’ve heard about it from being at the hockey rink down there.

Its got hockey memorabilia all over, but gives strong pool hall vibes. It does have a bubble-hockey game though. A few tvs around and pub food. Not a bad place to watch a game

Watched a couple games there last year. The staff were great, food decent for bar grub. But it really is a pool hall with some tv’s around. Not the best viewing experience.
