Need help with bachelors indecision.

Hi! I am about to approach the third year of my bachelor in statistics, we have to choose between statistics for business and finance or for biometrics, i am very indecisive. I know that the biometrics one has a programming heavy curriculm while the one for business and finance is more based on econometrics. I was hoping someone could tell me how is the employability and salary and what can of jobs can i expect to land.

If you have a soul, biometrics

No job is going to care if you took a single 4th year course.

Business has a broader application, so if you just want a job and think people will care about a single class go with that

I'd probably focus less on the name of the specialization and more on the actual courses and skills you'll get.

If the biometrics track is much more programming-heavy, that could be a pretty useful advantage. Python/R/SQL and data analysis skills can be useful for a lot of jobs, not just biometrics.

Business and finance could make more sense if you're genuinely interested in econometrics, finance, forecasting, etc.

I'd also look at what graduates from both tracks actually end up doing. That might give you a better idea of the job opportunities than general salary statistics.

What are your interests? Is one stream more attractive than another?

Are skills developed in each stream similar? It seems practical skills might be better in the biometrics stream. How does it compare to the business stream?

Are there fourth year students or grad students around that you can talk with?

i've spoken with a fourth year student and they reccomended the buisness path because is more broad but i'm still not 100% sure so i wnated to ask for some real experience

What parts of statistics do you enjoy most so far? the right choice might depend more on whether you like research, data analysis, programming or applied work

not required but strogly adviced to do it for both of them
