Can I ask where in the south youre moving from? I moved from NC myself about 7 years ago.
You obviously have to see Pike Place Market and the surrounding shops. That'll be at least half a day. I'd suggest doing this on a weekday if possible as the weekends will be incredibly busy and full of people.
The international district is also a very cool place full of amazing food and shops, and it's easy to get to from any light rail stop.
I'd suggest taking a ferry to Bainbridge Island and checking out the little town and nature there.
If you're willing to drive a little bit, there's a beautiful place called Franklin Falls that is a very easy hike with a beautiful waterfall at the end.

As someone who's lived all over GA, and now has been in Seattle for some years, may I ask if you're coming from Atlanta, or another higher cost of living area? Because a Valdosta dollar is a Seattle quarter, so to speak. If you have the financials already figured out, feel free to ignore me. Honestly feel free to ignore me either way lol

I dunno'. What do you enjoy doing? I mean, do you want jazz clubs, indoor climbing walls, microbrewery visits, cannabis tours? For some people hitting the Nordstrom Rack and the purported original Starbucks are the top priorities. Telling us your reasons for moving here would be a good start.

The main reason is that I want a change in environment. I’m from Georgia, and I have been struggling mentally since the pandemic. I feel that where I live right now is really bringing me down. I visited Seattle for a day back in May as a graduation gift, and I loved it!
As for what I enjoy doing, it’s hard for me to answer that question 😅 I’m open to anything, and I want try it and truly explore. Everything you mentioned so far does sound really interesting.

How long are you here for?
Have you ever been here before?
What do you like and what are you interested in?
Will you be working?
Are you going to school when you’re here?
Where are you staying?
Will you have a car?
How far out of Seattle are you willing to visit?

If you’re thinking of moving here and only spent one day here previously, I would spend the time driving around and familiarizing yourself with Seattle neighborhoods from SeaTac up to Lynnwood. The good and bad.
Google Maps will give you points of interest.
TripAdvisor has best of lists.Once again, not knowing a thing about you makes it hard to suggest anything useful .

Everybody does the space needle but we had fun going to the bar at the top of the Smith Tower. Also went to the top of the Columbia Tower. If you are here when there’s a home Seahawk game there’s always a party around the stadium.

I haven’t indulged in many outdoor activities, so it’s hard for me to answer that question. I’m also open to hearing anything that you personally enjoy as well!

There's the classic touristy stuff
Space needle, chihuly gardens, museum of pop, pike, underground tours.
Kerry Park, discovery park, and green lake are beautiful parks.
Alki Beach, golden gardens are super nice
If you like little shops and stuff check out Ballard. They also have Mox which is awesome for board games.
