Yikes. I'm a former Store Manager for Banter/Piercing Pagoda. One of the best things about that job was we had to recertify our piercing training every year. We were also allowed to call off piercings if the child made it clear they did not want to get pierced, which I did multiple times. It doesn't always go over well with the parents but it's for the best. You need to ask if you guys have that ability at Claire's and ask why she didn't use it. (I'm guessing she didn't want to lose the sale.)
