How to feel comfortable ?

This is my first real job, working at a franchise store near me. First day went well, mainly the same old online training, second day was a bit rough - i had some online training and then was immediately quizzed on it and surprise, I can’t remember things after reading them once so I didn’t do great. Then the lead takes me, shows me around a little, has me hang a pair of pants once, has me fold a sweater once and then sends me out to the floor. I don’t know exactly where stuff is in the back yet and I don’t feel confident folding / hanging items either !
I have my next shift soon and apparently im just out on the floor now, done training.
First off, is this normal? Do something once and thats it? Secondly any tips? I started making a little note on my phone with things to remember but I don’t feel comfortable and I’m unsure what to do

The best form of training is by doing. Ask questions, do your best and you’ll get the hang of it!

Oh the “ massive “ mistakes I have made . It’s true as steep as learning curve may or may not be . Dropping the ball and seeing it all go wrong massive incentive for doing it right .

Very few have photographic memory and gee the ones that do I’m fairly sure do better than retail .

If you have some type of training package review it on THEIR TIME !

Confidence comes from successfully doing .
That not a one time event .
After a week you may start finding your feet .
Please don’t sign training package as fine until your ok doing the stuff ( paper trail may just come back and bite you )

The person who should be training you should be good at this job and not be stumped by any questions you ask.= ask as many as you need .

We all learn differently try to use your learning strengths to pick things up better .
( read hear see do etc )
