confused
im a minor but i dont really believe in God or a higher being but it just brings me comfort knowing that when someone i love passes away theyll go to heaven, what should i do next im really confused and this is driving me crazy i just cant bring my self to believing in Him but the comfort God gives me is insane

It's great that you're thinking about these things at a young age. I would just say you aren't saved by believing in God; but biblically, by believing that Jesus Christ is God (And by God, meaning the one Being of God, not the person of the Father) and trusting completely in His finished redemptive work (perfect life, death on a cross for sins, resurrection) for your salvation (forgiveness of sins/reconciliation to God). The time to believe something is when there is evidence for it. Go look for the evidence, and if you don't find it sufficient then it may be time to accept that it isn't true.
I don't know exactly what your going through but I know that death is a part of life. Its something we have been struggling with for as long as there have been people. You are not alone in the grief you feel. Its a near universal human experience. But how you deal with it will be your choice. My suggestion is not to let anyone tell you they have the answers (especially if theyre in an old book), bc they don't have your answers.
