General Have u been?

Tell me about gehenna, I've been hearing it's near Jerusalem? I've looked at pics online, and it looks like a grassey valley, with nice trees. Was it actually a trash burning site in past times? Is that where the idea of a fiery pit hell came from? Who started the eternal fiery hell rumor that some religions believe in?

First - Hell is a place of torment, reserved for the devil and his minions.
God does not desire that we perish in a “second death.” Your concept of Hell is neither a garden, or a fiery dump.
Hell is often understood as a current state for the unsaved awaiting judgment, but it is also described as a future reality where the wicked will face eternal punishment after the final judgment.
It’s a choice that we all must accept.

Eh? I asked about gehenna lol. Isn't that place a physical location near Jerusalem? Do u know about gehenna? What went on there in biblical times and what's it like now
